they called me today , saying they where going to file a civil law suit with the county, and for me to call back and reference some docket number. I immediately looked up there number to see if it was legit and looked at all the complaints from other people there are harassing.. IM NOT CALLING THEM BACK!!

I again got a recorded phone call from Brown, Myers and Associates this morning looking for this woman I have only heard about from them every time they call.  I called them back, since this time it said something about a check.  A VERY RUDE person who wouldn't listen to me trying to tell her that I wasn't who they were looking for, said she would remove my number.  Yah, I've heard that before.  How do you stop them from calling.  I am on no-call list and my name is not the same as the person they are looking for.

Don't bother with your local AG.  Instead, call or write the New York Attorney General Buffalo Regional Office; Consumer Frauds.   716-853-8404.  North Carolina will struggle to effect an outcome.  Your best bet is to go local.  It's the local AG that gets collection agencies shut down and/or sued.

By law the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act says that debt collectors cannot threaten you with a felony or other criminal charge. The law stipulates that they will be held legally liable with monetary damages if this occurs, at a cost of $1,000 a pop. This company contacted me this morning. They tried once before and left a message at my parents' home and my sister looked them up. Therefore, I was prepared for them. They stated they were a law firm and just needed to verify my contact info for the court as I was being charged with some kind of fraud and the sheriff needed to serve me court papers. I asked for his contact info and I told him I would research his company and if they were legitimate I would call him back. He became aggitated and sharply stated, "That won't be necessary....you'll be served papers in 4-5 days." He then hung up. I don't know how he plans to "serve papers." I never did confirm an address......

They have been calling me with number 877-509-0403 Just so everyone knows this number also.

I started reciving phone calls from Brown Meyers and associates yesterday saying that I had a secured credit card from 2007 and it was fraud because of non payment. That does not consitute as fruad. They called my dad as well and since I have never had a credit card and my number and my dads number has changed several times since 07 I just don't know what to do. Please someone help me.

I received a call on my job from these same people posing as a law firm saying I have returned checks.  Mind you, when you have returned checks you do have to send it to somebody? That is the most ignorant statement they could make as if I don't have access to my bank.  They need to stop calling my job because it is harassing. I am going to call BBB and fed. trade comm to seek guidance.  I have a 9 year old son who passed away and I MUST alleviate any STRESS that comes my way. I have a broken heart and an attitude of Fu*! you and take the next step but you definitely better stop calling me with the bogus non-sense.

l reciv  a call from a man from this number 8132611150 they were pretending to be laaw office acting like they are clling to collect bad check i dont have any checks i asked to speak to manager they state not avail they transfr me to voicmail and still no reply i thnk they are scammers they harass about things back from 2001 thats violaion also they isnt any lawyer to speak with bs=they were saying they were kaw office of ryan c opland then they change  saysing brown meyerys who are they

you cannot be arrested for failure to pay a debt/ they are not a lawfirm/ they cannot threaten to sue you falsely.  they cannot harass you at your place of employment, and they cannot notify a third party about your debt. please save any recordings, messages or correspondence from them.

Received a call from these people today on my cell phone left a message saying I had a violation involving my name, social security # and address and to call back and reference a docket number. Before calling I googled them first and glad I did...seems they have a bad reputation as a debt collector for payday loans...which I did have almost six years ago in another state that I paid!!! Won't be calling them back...thanks for the heads up. They called from phone number 855-204-7726.

Returned their call and they said I didn't sound like myself...WTH! Refuse to proceed without last four of my social. Screw it!

I got a call from this number saying that my name, bday, and social security number had been used in a fraudulent scam and that I should contact them immediately.

Yeah got a call from 1-877-509-0403 Andrew Jacobs saying a complaint was filed against me. Left a message on my cell Yesterday and again this morning. I am not calling back. Good thing for the internet and the feedback left at this forum. Nice you can Look people up and get the scoop on them.  Sooner or later I hope the calls will stop. Not going to acknowledge with a call back.. Will keep ya'll updated...

I had my husband (who is an attorney)do research on Brown Meyers & Associates/ Law Office of Ryan L Copeland due to the multiple phone calls they were making to get a hold of my son about a payday loan. Come to find out this company employs convicted felons, and the director Mr. Jay Rodriguez is listed as a sexual harasser along with a Darren Gonzalez! This was all the information needed to understand that this company is absolutely unstable! Clearly they have no regards of who they employ and further more what idiot hires without background checks? These are unorganized debt collectors with a bad reputation and it makes no sense to pay when they will probably be shut down due to the illegal ways they try handling people!

Private, where you fine this information ? First i guess you most be one of the collectors they terminated for not doing the right thing right? I guess no one is willing to hire you cause you a f-up. Oh well if you husband did a research please tell me where he when lol making false accusations to damage a company its what low people like you do. You are just an unhappy excollector that maybe the  company terminated for not doing the right thing and i am sure you unemployment was also decline lol....

For what i know a collector by the name of jessica people that call me 3 month ago gat terminated cause refusing a drug test well good for the company cause she has records all over the place . Keep the good job guys
