Trying to collect a century link bill from 2002.

Trying to collect money from credit card I never had from 2005

calling my place of work and scaring me over nothing I owe or owed.....reporting

They called and said I need to call on a complaint and they tried to deliver something and was returned.I need to call right now.

Said it was a mitigation company,  would not tell me anything unless I verified my SS#.  I would not verify it,  told him send me the documents I was told they were not able to deliver to me.  Was told when I wanted to cooperate to call back and hung up.

They called from this # 229-352-3235 and left me a message to call them back at 877-817-0005. I'm calling on behalf of JAA we were retained to deliver certified documents to you and some reason they were returned from that address. Please give them a call at the 877 # -- I think these guys are just fishing for information, especial if you don't have my correct address. They had a women with a nice voice but I don't trust her either, be-careful.

Received call on behalf of my dad, saying unable to deliver documents

called from 229-352-3235 wanted to "deliver a message" to one of my family members. But they had the name of my family member and his date of birth. I would not confirm anything or accept a message. Woman said that "certified documents" had been returned. I started asking questions and she then ended conversation saying "I'll just document that you refused to accept message for your family member".

They literally JUST NOW called a gave me the same excuse.

Not true at all. They have all the information they need. This is simply an extortion scam.

"I'm calling on behalf of JAA. We were retained to deliver certified documents to you and for some reason they were returned from the address we have on file. To avoid further legal complications please contact the company in charge of those documents, the telephone number is 877-221-0064...."

Woman's voice, left message using my name, later in message called me by my short name. Told me to reference document number she provided to me. This isn't the first contact, just the first time I am documenting it.

Lady called from jaa and when I asked what it is regarding, she hung up the phone

Same as referenced above.. nice lady calls and says they tried to deliver a certified mail and it was returned and to please return the call to the Department over this matter and asked to call 877-714-0002 and left a case number and said she would document that the call had been placed and received.

That’s the same number they told me to call and I did. Guy tried to be slick when my wife asked for the supervisor and he came back on saying he was. Wanting me to pay $300 on a $1000 debt to make it go away.

Only the post office can deliver certified mail. Based on other posts in this thread, this is the fake process server scam. Real process servers don't call in advance.

They called from this number 775-476-9276.  My caller ID had them listed as NV Metro.
Basically it said, "I'm calling on behalf of JAA. We were retained to deliver certified documents to you and for some reason they were returned from the address we have on file. To avoid further legal complications please contact the company in charge of those documents, the telephone number is 888-375-0143. These documents are time sensitive."

Received a call from 757-990-3085 and left a voice mail regarding my father and a certified notice that was returned. Told to call 888-375-0143 a Alexander & Associates.  Unfortunately my father passed away a number of years ago and somehow they are associating my number with him. This has happened with ever other scammer.  When I called back the lady just said she would have to return this to the client. When I asked who the client was she said she didn't know.  It's obviously a scam. Do not waste your time. Block and move on.

Same exact situation, I have them no info because I was skeptical and messed up thing is I also have 2 negative reports around same time to my credit.
