- Chel BellI received a "notice" of debt collection under my maiden name (which I haven't gone by in more than 10 years) in the mail. The next morning, I received a telephone call from them (robo call) telling me that they have something for me at their office. I called them to inform them that I do not have the debt they claim that I do, and I told the guy that I was aware that Dynamic Recovery Solutions was a SCAM company, attempting to collect on non-existent, or old (outside of statute of limitations) debts.
He told me that he was "ending the call because I was very unprofessional". After checking my credit report, it appears that they have done an inquiry on my credit report. I contacted the credit agency to find out that DRS actually falsified their "intent" with the credit reporting agency. They gained my personal information by stating their inquiry was for "promotional purposes only". That is how DRS is getting a lot information.
Also, check your State's Statutes of Limitations. In Florida, the debt that DRS states that I owe, is supposedly from 2005. Florida's Statutes of Limitations is 4 years for non-contractual debt (medical debt, etc.), and 5 years for contractual debt like mortgages and business loans.
According to the State of Florida and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Statute 809. Validation of debts, DRS must provide validation that the debt is even yours. To this date, even after my request in writing, they have failed to comply. Plus, under Statute 807 - False or misleading representations, DRS is in violation of paragraph 10: "The use of any false representation or deceptive means to collect or attempt to collect any debt or to obtain information concerning a consumer." DRS did this when they used a "promotional use only" inquiry with the credit reporting agencies.
After reporting DRS to the BBB, they replied in their standard form letter, stating that they are a "third party collection agency..." blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Basically, they purchased a fake, or zombie debt, and they are harassing people to pay it.
When I made a legitimate review on the BBB site about their Statute of Limitations and FDCPA violations, their response was:
"Dynamic Recovery Solutions (DRS) does not in engage in any fraudulent activity. DRS is a third party collection agency licensed in all applicable states to collect on past due accounts for our clients. DRS is not here to harass or abuse any consumer, customer service is our top priority. "
Again...standard cookie cutter response. The truth is...they are engaging in fraudulent activity. Just the robo-calls alone, are enough to make them in violation of Florida law. The truth is that Dynamic Recovery Solutions are Debt Scavengers. They buy debt in bulk. The older the debt, and the less collectible it is...the cheaper it is for them to buy it. They pay less than a penny for every dollar of debt.
No matter what...DO NOT GIVE THEM A SINGLE PENNY! They cannot threaten to sue you, they cannot change the date of the "debt" in order to put it on your credit report (although they do), and they MUST abide by the law. DON'T allow them to take advantage of you!- Caller: Dynamic Recovery Solutions

- Just a secretarySO.....these guys are a straight scam. They have been calling my business phone this last week. I got pissed and called them back. They were "looking for 2 people associated with this number". Which is the company owner and a secretary from LONG ago. I explain that I would not pass along the number...that I had read they were a scam..she asked me for his personal # I said that wasn't going to happen. And hung up. THEN I got to thinking....so I called them back and told them that they needed to send something in writing and original documentation to the company mailing address. She said the number had been updated in the system... I asked her what that meant...she said it had been removed. I confirmed that there would be no more phone calls from there company and she said there wouldn't be.....straight scam.

He told me to call the toll-free number. He actually trusts me? Of course I'm not going to call him. My credit rating is excellent. If they did a little homework they would have found that out.
