I received this same phone call just a few minutes ago.  The number was 187-7779-5815.  His name was Emmanuel Lewis from East Rock Financial and the way the operator comes on to connect you with Emmanuel seems to be very legit and very professional.  He informed me that it was a secured loan and that I would be paying $153 for 5 years on a $7000 loan.  To secure the loan I needed to send him $1267.45 western union and that would take care of my first 8 months.  He also stated that I would receive my money in 1-2 business days.  He asked that I give him a fax number so he could send me the contract.  I'm going to call him back and ask if he could email me the contract and I'm sure he will not go for it. I received a all earlier from someone that has a very heavy accent and I couldn't understand the companies name and when I asked the name of the company a third time he hung up the phone the number is 569-814-5214.  I clearly couldn't believe that I was approved for a loan with my credit...LOL  I'm so glad I researched this before sending him my money.  When he told me how much to send I told him if I had money why would I be trying to borrow money and he told me that I could possibly borrow the money from a friend or family member or use my rent/mortgage or car note.  HE MUST BE OUT OF HIS MIND!  I hope whoever this person is will get caught very soon.

I also got the same guy emmanuel lewis on my vm,his number is 18777795815 EXTENSION 486.And it sounds legitimate.When I called him back he said I am approved a secure loan of $5000.00 and that I should pay $700+ upfront cattering for the first 6 months of the loan.Then he asked me if I have any Qs,I answered him "Is that all I need to know about this loan or there is something I don't know yet?",then he told me to think about it and hung up on me.Then I went online to look up  this "EASTROCK LENDING SERVICE" he is talking about and found that pple like me are also investigating it.Thank God I didn't rush in sending the upfront money before investigating.I am sure this guy will be tracked.It's very easy to track him as long as somebody reports him to the FEDS.

I received a call from a Scott Peters today. I was 'supposedly' approved for $25000. I didn't feel good about the message he left. He hesitated when he said his 'name'. I decided to look this place up and found all the comments here. Thanks all of you who left comments to inform ppl. The number came on my cell phone as unknown. He left this number 1-877-779-5815 ext 591. I called back and keep getting his ansering machine. He did request a fax number to send a contract. Well i will not be indulging in this scam. Please let us know if you receive your money. My cousin got a call from the same people and they asked her to send money up from to secure the loan as well. I advised her not to get involved since there is no information online, nor on the BBB about them. Not to mention, there is no one in this day and time that is going to give a signature loan at 6%. That is a rate for people with good credit, not to mention, signature loans usually come at a higher interest rate. When you secure a loan, you secure it at the full amount, not partially. That's a scam in my eyes. In addition, my cousin asked for a web address, and he put her on hold before he gave her an answer. The address that he did give her was bogus. She tried to call back after their conversation, and no one has answered since. So, I'm curious to know whether you get your money. I pray that you do. I would hate to see anyone be taken advantage of in this way.

Call them back threaten to call the cops do u all u can eventually if u stay on top of them theyll refund your money.  Tell them youve hired an attorney, have a legal letter drafted up, call the cops in Ohio and the BBB also call the FBI whoever u need to expose them for the ani,als they arr if u want ill help you.  Most people give up but harrass them every day and keep threatening them to take legal action.

I also received a call from Peter Haven on 10/26/09 and he is faxing over paper regarding a 5,000.00 loan.  But he need 820.82 up front and I would be paid up until June 2010.   I would get the loan by Monday, 11/2/09, "because they understand people need their money back right away. My fax machine is ring, but no paper yet.  A very big scam.   They are real sharp crooks with no gun.  The number on my caller ID was:  OUT OF AREA, no number showed up.

hey! just updating you guys on weather or not i received my loan and yes i can safefully say that i did.  i asked my agent about all the postings here and he said that there is a mixup with another company called milfield and that they have been receiving several complaints.  i was stressing all weekend!  i got approved on a secured loan and i asked why my interest was so low and my agent responded " well your putting a deposit down so there is no risk involved with the loan..." he jokingly said that he would raise the interest if i wasnt happy with it.

Lordwilling, which company actually gave you the loan?  Was it East Rock Lending?  The've been contacting me also.

i was searching the web the other day and was trying to get a loan company to approve me for a loan and this company poped up on the screen from a link and i called them to see what east rock lending services was so i was talking to the people about a student loan and they made it sound so easy to get this loan and that i just needed to send them 2,516.00 and that would cover my first payments for a 30,000 loan and it seemed very intersting to me but i took it to a bank and they said that any reputable lending company would not give you a secured loan for 30,000 dollars with out having some kind of collateral and the loan officer said that another thing they forgot to make the loan real is a fed box which is a box that has your loans numbers in it for your interest rates and you payment plan they did somehow get the payment rates just not a fixed interest rates and the loan officer told me to do research on these people and i did and found all you guys who did or didnt fall for the scam. but im really glad that i looked up you guys and checked on this bc me and my family was bout to do this loan and i m very sry that some of you fell for the scam but i will do my best to help yall atch these people by trying to le tthe government know bout this scam but just make sure you do lots of research on things before you take that chance

I also got a call from EastRock Lending Services on oct 26, 2009 and they told me the I was  approved for 5,000 and I need to send 813.60 for to cover the frist 8 months of the losn. so they fax me the loan agreement. and said I had 7 days to do westen union or the loan was know good. so something told me to get on my laptop and look them up and they are lier.and the phone no is 1877-779-5815 ext 591 fax no 1-513-297-0536 and the want to be loan officer is scott peters EastRock did not get my money if you get any loan from a lender or a bank there such not be any money down at   all.

I received a call from Emmanuel Lewis from Eastrock Lending Services on Oct 21.

I'd been lookinhg on-line for some money.  He said I had been approved for a secured loan of $10,000.00.  the security for the loan would be the first 6 months payments of $197.54=$1580.32.  I was to wire the money via Western Union and I would have my funds within 24-48 hours,

The Cincinnati BBB has no complaints on this co. but has still given it a rating of F.  They strongly advised against doing business with them as this type of business is typically a scam.  There is no business by that name at the address they list.  They will not answer or take calls from the BBB.

I have called Mr. Lewis at the number listed(1-877-779-5815 ext 486) and he has returned my call.  It all sounds so legit over the phone and also their contract which he faxed to me.  Fax was from Toronto, On

Luckily I did not sign contract nor did I send them any money.

I also got a call from eastrock lending and his name is Charles Reid told me that if I send 1350 westearn union that I can get the loan for 7000 and my payments would be 135.00 a month starting 10/01/2110 I would like to know more on this.
