I have been harrassed by s&w over a 3-4 yr old payday loan, and they want my debit card info to make monthly payments on a debt.
After reading all of this, I realized I have NEVER received anything in the mail from them. I worked for HSBC Bank for 4 yrs, and whenever someone was in collections they received it in writing as well. When someone asks for a payment arrangement IN WRITING it cannot be a personally drafted email. This companies email address is swspecialtygroup@earthlink.net which mean they dont even have company email.
I called the county I live in yesterday and there are no pending judgements against me, the one pending judgement I did have was paid and was from a legitimate local collection agency in my area, who has verifiable info and a website, and a directory listing. This company violates almost all FDCPA rules as my cousin answered the phone one day and they told him all about my account, and they said its ok because they're calling from an attornies office. I am calling the attorney generals office today!
