- jevon| 7 repliesthese people said I could get an fta
- Caller: allied
- Call type: Debt collector
- Gunnar replies to jevon| 6 repliesAn FTA is the abbreviation for "Failure to Appear". You would have to be legally served a summons before you would "get an fta". A debt collector can not "get you an fta". If you're served, go to court. If you fail to appear, you may have a "default judgement" ordered against you. Which is EXACTLY what debt collection Attys. are counting on. Over 80% of judgements awarded to debt collection agencies are obtained by default judgements.
- jevon replies to Gunnar| 5 repliesthe call was something about a release order being on this persons desk, and about the call being an official notification
- Gunnar replies to jevon| 4 replies"Official notifications" NEVER come by phone. Their stating such is a sure sign you're being set up for a scam or fraud attempt. A "release order" is generally something that a judge signs and which then sits on a fat, lazy jailers desk until he gets off his a** and processes you out of jail.
Scammers, Frauds and bogus or unethical debt collectors love using legal jargon. They think it makes them sound intimidating. To anyone with even a smattering of legal knowledge, it makes them sound completely ludicrous.
If you must take a collectors call, DEMAND a full, complete and legitimate letter of validation. If they refuse, they're frauds or unethical collectors attempting to collect an invalid debt. Research and learn your rights under the FDCPA. It's easy, just Google it. Know your rights and...
Be Safe. Be Aware.
Gunnar - GeorgeI got a message saying an important legal matter may be pending in your area? I've recently had Idenity Theft so I'm not going to reply, sounds very scamish

- michelle| 3 repliesThey keep calling my in-laws and my house claiming that we have an unpaid payday loan, and they are going to one suspend my husband license and two garnish his wages. They are now for the third call claiming to have a good address from us (which it is our last address) everything about the calls is obviously a scam. I called back, but when I do it says "the selected option has not been correctly configured in the phone system" what the heck does that mean. is there a way I can sue these people for threatening me, and bothering my family with pointless phone calls.

- I'm Tired of Scammers| 4 repliesPREMIER CLIENT SERVICES Robert Goldstein (Sr. Coordinator) called and left a message saying, "This is regarding a local claim that may be filed against you in your local jurisdiction and attached to your name and SSN." Stating that I needed to call or have my attorney call.and that failure to return the call will be noted as a fortfeiture of my rights.
I called and spoke with someone who put "Robert Goldstein" on the line. He claimed that I owed $1300 for a $500 Installment loan that defaulted in 2011 with My Cash Now (formerly Cash Now). I NEVER TOOK OUT A LOAN WITH THESE PEOPLE. After doing some research- These are two different businesses. Cash Now IS NOT a direct lender but rather is a website that will find you a lender and My Cash Now has gone out of business and left a message for its clients stating "Our managers have decided to close all accounts and no further action is required from you". (866) 398-2274. FYI- when I called back to tell them of my findings I got a lot of shuffling around and being put on hold.
Here is all of the information I gathered for the company behind this call:
PREMIER CLIENT SERVICES

BBB Accredited (though their website has this insignia- I couldn't find them anywhere on the BBB website- so their accredation is not proven valid)

- Make them stop! replies to I'm Tired of ScammersSeems every few months now I get calls from these types of people. I am so sick of them. I tell them to send me the info in the mail and they say they don't opperate that way. Well any credible company does, so I just ignore them, but it is a little disturbing how much personal information they have about me. I check my credit often and have filled out the fraud alert forms on my credit. Its' still just annoying!
- Bring It OnI got an automated message to call this number, that there may be a judgement filed against me & my social security number. I called the number back and a man who Identified himself as Christopher Ellis answered. After given him my phone number, he told me that I had an outstanding loan with My Cash Now, which happens to be a site that finds lenders & doesn't actually give out payday loans( I checked it out as we were talking) He gave me the "supposed" date of the loan. I happen to keep meticulous records, and had them near by went to the date and started reading off the withdrawls for the day that he had specified, but no deposits on that day, the next or the one before. I offered to fax to him a copy of my bank statement. He declined He started getting upset and told me that a judgement would be filed against me & I would be going to court. I welcome it........ Pay day loans are illegal in the state of PA. I am now in the process of filing a complaint with the federal trade commission against him/his company.

- Jen replies to michelleWe are getting this call, too! When they first started we got a number to a real person and they said it was a mistake and wouldn't call. It stopped for a couple of days and now it has started up again. But now when I call the number they leave it says "the selected option has not been correctly configured in the phone system". Annoying to say the least! How do we get them to stop?
- Julie YangI got a call while I was at work and had a voicemail left on my phone stating that I should call premier client services about a loan and if I don't contact them I could possibly have something filed against me. I didn't take out any stupid loan for anything besides my car loan from summit credit union, so if these stupid as people don't stop calling I will file a complaint because I didn't take out any stupid loan.

I only get voice-mail messages because I do not answer the phone unless I am expecting a call from a specific person during a certain time frame (in fact, my phone is unplugged when I am not using it). The message says "Please call Premier Client Services at 877-542-5714 ... regarding a possible claim in your jurisdiction against your social security number". The message is not directed to any specific person at my number. I have been ignoring these calls. I got similar messages last November and December from a different company, and the messages stated they were for debt collection. Again, the messages were not directed at specific person at my number.

- Helen replies to michelleGet the correct business name, the name of the person calling and phone number.
Then call your local police department about the call, it is a scam. The police will fill out a report and then call them. You will never hear from them again.
You can also file a complaint with the FBI once you have your police report number. - CathyPossible something against your social security keeps calling the office twice a day with a recording. Calls comes from 404-900-6959 saying to call 877-842-5714
