- ShaunaFirst Financial Asset Management --- this is a debt collector
- captnkcI have had my phone number since December of 2006. I am listed on the National and State Do Not Call Lists. It does not mean anything to these debt collectors, hotel chains CC offers. They continue to call. I have an answering service, and they will not leave any messages. They just continue to call. This is harassment.
Some have left messages, and the messages are for an individual that had my phone number in 2006 before it was assigned to me. I have has call from collection agencies for specific individuals that I do not know, and have never heard of.
The worst offenders are:
RPM Receivables Performance Management - No Message but continues to call from 757-990-8972
First Financial Asset Management - No Message left but continues to call from 877-863-0756
Asset Acceptance - No Message but continues to call from 301-223-0096
Unknown - No Message left but continues to call from 850 Area on a Cell Phone
Portfolio Recovery - Calls for a Carla D. Ciders from multiple locations
Allied Interstate - calls for a Monique Thompson, but addresses me by name. I do not know a Monique Thompson.
I also received phone calls from:
A Doctors Office to remind the previous owner of my number to remind me of my:
sons Dermatology appointment. I have no son
My Colorectal Screening, but I made no appointment and my previous doctor was out if state.
I purchased an item from Sears, and gave them my phone number. The sales clerk indicated that a Mr. Ray was listed at that number in their system. The sales clerk corrected their file, and I assume that many of these calls may be for Mr. Ray.
I recently saw a commercial from Morgan & Morgan regarding illegal and improper contacts made by debt collection agencies. My phone system date stamps incoming calls with the caller and number that they call from. I am tempted to forward a list to Morgan & Morgan sine I understand that each of these debt collectors can face up to a $10.000 fine for failure to follow the Guidelines at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_Debt_Collection_Practices_Act
Some of the Guidelines these people are abusing are the act by:
o Causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously: with intent to annoy, abuse, or harass any person at the called number.[10]
o Communicating with consumers at their place of employment after having been advised that this is unacceptable or prohibited by the employer[1
o Threatening arrest or legal action that is either not permitted or not actually contemplated[
I received a phone call from Debt Collector in Buffalo. The following is similar to the practice they were using:
Buffalo Debt Collector Busted
29 Jun 2009
A Buffalo company went way too far in their attempts to collect debts, and has now been shut down by the Attorney General's office. The debt collector claimed to be cops, threatened to throw debtors in jail, seize all their stuff, and get them fired.
A typical call went like this: 'Hello, this is Investigator Brooks from the warrant division,' 'It seems that you are disregarding all means of contact … make sure you have somewhere for your kids to go, lock up your house, get some clean clothes cause you're not going to be home no time soon.'
The collection company went by several different names, when they called people all over the country making their threats.
Workers there allegedly lied to and intimidated customers in an effort to collect money, which most of the time, weren't even owed.
It's always important to remember that a debt collector can't make criminal or physical threats, and has to send you a written notice upon your request that would tell you how much you owe and the name of the creditor you owe the money to.
In my case: The female representative of the company, Graham Noble & Associates, identified herself as an Inspector looking for a Randy Christiansen. She indicated that if Mr. Christiansen failed to return her call a warrant would be issued in his county. This sounded like Official Police Business, so I returned the call to let them know that I did not know a Randy Christiansen.
At that point, it became obvious that this was a collection agency, and their approach was "Outside the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I advised them that any additional attempt to contact Mr. Christiansen by using my phone number would be forwarded to the Attorney General’s office for my state for review and possible prosecution.

- Jules| 1 replyThese [***] can keep calling me all they want.. I just got laid off and have been denied unemployment benefits so they can kiss my white behind!!! Can't get blood from a stone right. I have absolutely no choice now but to file for bankruptcy at which point they can't ever call me again! I'm so tired of trying to do the right thing for everyone but me. Look where it got me! Sure I'm looking for new work but you know what there aren't any jobs here! Kind of hard to get what there is none of. Maybe they should have worked with me in the beginning instead up just jacking up my interest rate to the point where I couldn't afford the payments. I tried. I can't do any more.

- MMessage left for my next door neighbor. I'm guessing since it's a duplex they're ignoring the apartment numbers and just calling me because it's the same street address.
They gave 1 866 750 5643 as a call back number to remove your name from the list but caller ID said 877 863 0756. They did not identify themselves or what company they are calling from, except that they said it was a debt collector and that I should not listen to the message if I was not that person. I attempted to call both numbers to let them know that they had the wrong number and to remove me from their list, but they may have been "spoofed" numbers because I wasn't able to reach anyone. At first the second number would say that I was on hold and then the line would go dead.
I have also found 404 523 5426 is First Financial, all these numbers are coming up as the same company. If they call me again from any of those numbers, I will report them for harassment and hopefully they'll end up with a $10,000 fine. That would warm my heart. - amdGot A call from 877-863-0756 today. "No Name" on caller ID. Didn't recognize it so I did not answer. No message left on voice recorder. No bad debts here and this company is obviously a problem so I'm Filing a complaint with the national Do Not Call registry.
