lying scammers. They said  they "verified" my Humana insurance (another scam) and that my flue shot was covered 100%.
2 months later I get a notice in the mail that I owe $64.00 plus late fees. During the time I'm contesting this [***] they put me in collections. From all these posts I see a class action pattern

I will not call them back because they outsource to the Phillipines.  We have many people looking for jobs and unable to attain one here in the United States and I resent that they are hiring cheap labor from another country to do their U.S. business.  I would not have known this if it were not for all these reviews.  I just didn't answer because it was an unknown  caller and the name did not show up on caller  I.D.  Thanks for all the information.  I cannot do much to help the jobless here but I can do this.  If it had said Walgreen's I would have answered it.  I am very disappointed in Walgreen's.  I will never return to their clinic.

Not a scam, comes from Walgreens Clinic
I called the # back 2x. First I got a recording and then I called back again, a live person. It was about payment that was due for a visit that Medicare and my secondary insurance had not paid due to the charge being part of my yearly deductible. He furnished the info to me. I was responsible for the bill because of this. I paid it over the phone with a card, was given a confirmation number, & requested an email with receipt, which I got while still on the phone with a very courteous rep.  I also told him they need to leave a message when they call. He said it's an auto dialer but will discuss my input with his supervisor.

they call and leave a message that says "your call is very important to us. Please remain on the line and a customer service representative will be with you shortly." THEY CALL ME and have it on hold...so bizarre. I have 4 of these messages.

Everyone needs to CALM DOWN. It's the Walgreen Take Care Clinic. They are calling for one of the following reasons: 1) you owe them money,  2) they need to verify your information,  or 3) they are following up to make sure you got better and/or followed up with your doctor. IT'S NOT A SCAM. I've used them quite a few times when someone in my little family is very sick and cannot get an appointment with our family physician that day or within a couple of days. I've never had any problems with them. The nurse practitioner who treated us even calls a day or two after we see her to check and see if the patient either got better or followed up with our family physician if the patient was really sick.

Seriously people, it's not a scam.

As an addendum to my previous comment: they are not out-sourced to the Philippines. I have NEVER talked to someone from the Philippines. I always talk to someone from TEXAS whether I call them or they call me. I just called them to check that since so many people on here are claiming that "fact". And guess what?  TEXAS.  So.... sounds to me like people just don't want to pay their bill. Stop lying and pay your freaking bill. IT'S NOT A SCAM. Call them if you don't believe me.

It's not a staff nurse. It's a nurse practitioner. Big difference. It's just a tiny step below a doctor, and they can write prescriptions. A nurse cannot do that.

    tired of this
It is Walgreens Clinics.  I owe them $2 because the clinic only charged me an $18 copay vs a $20 copay.  I told them I'd stop by the clinic next time I'm at Walgreens to see how true this is .  I'm thinking not my fault they under charged me, but at the same time its only $2.

I just had a similar experience, but I requested that they correct my address and send me a statement (as would be appropriate!), but they continued to try and pressure me into providing my credit card or bank account information.  I explicitely stated that I would not make any payments until I had received a statement and they informed me that I would accrue late fees and this would be reported to the credit bureaus. Then she lectured me about how I need to take care of this immediately upon receipt of the statement or make a payment now.  That's when I laughed and hung up.

It absolutely is a scam... I have insurance where I don't have to pay a copay nor will I ever have to pay a bill and because of that fact and because of the fact they accept my particular insurance, they are trying to do something illegal even if it is Walgreens. It's called double billing and it completely is a scam and it is quite possible that you did speak with someone from Texas but I have for a fact spoken from someone who is physically in the Philippines each time I have spoken to them so just because you think you 100 % know this stuff for fact, you are wrong and very ignorant for not educating yourself. Congratulations for adding to the reputation around the world that Americans are the dumbest nation.

It's legit, people. I had an appointment there a couple of months ago. My insurance covered all but $5.00, which they billed me by mail. I had just forgotten to pay it. The call was to remind me.

I received a call from this number, they were asking questions about my daughter, said they were the billing department.  They had sent a nasty letter demanding a $60 payment for a sports physical that was paid nearly 4 months ago, and I saved the receipt.  I called them back, and yes, was upset that they'd send a letter like that, threatening to forward it to a collections agency.  The man on the phone said he did show a payment on the account at the time of service, yet they didn't know whether the payment had cleared the bank.  You mean to tell me, they have it in their records, a payment was made, and they still send out a letter like that?  It was a credit card payment, how can you not know whether it cleared the bank?  Then check it with the bank.  I told him I was going to report them to the Dept. of Consumer Affairs, because I don't like the tactics they use, and if it was with an elderly patient that might be confused on whether they paid or not, or didn't have the receipt, chances are they'd use their scare tactics on them too.  I'll never use this healthcare clinic again.  To me, it sounds like they're phishing for extra money.  Completely underhanded, in my opinion.

It actually came up unlisted. Please note the date this is posted. The said that I had a balance of $99 from a visit in January. JANUARY!! And it's mid September... Ex post Facto. Had an old address and said that the insurance wasn't correct and asked for the proper one. "No, thanks. I'll go into a Walgreens to update it." "You can't." Really? Or how about online? "Please hold..." *click* Like most have said, ask for the bill to be mailed to your residence, or state that you'll settle up at your local Walgreens clinic.

I called the number and it there is an automated voice that tells you that they are the Walgreens billing department. It gives you options on whether you are an insurance provider or patient. It's not a scam. I called my bank and they assured me that everything checked out with their identity. Annoying and unproffessional but not a scam

The number is legit and Walgreens collections.  My bill was for a little over $4.  I received a bill in the mail with 877-865-9011 as the number to call to make a payment over the phone.  The bill was for an appt over 1 year ago and my insurance didn't cover the total amount. So, I called and paid it.  After hanging up...I got to wondering if I got scammed, since it sounded like I was talking to one of those India phone scammers.  So, I called the 800 number from the Walgreens website.  Long story short...My bill with the 877-865-9011 number was legit.
