Calls several times a day, always dead air when I pick up, leaves dead air on answering machine and voicemails.  I pray for this person/group as I pray for the driver who cuts me off on the road, when I'd rather just hold up one finger.  Heaven help us!  As a few said...UGH!

Seems to be a very poorly run telemarketing company who is hired out by companies and politicians to get out messages.  I have to admit I worked for one ONE DAY ONLY while in college - it's really just as crumby a job as it is crumby to recieve these annoyances.

877-888-8888 shows on caller ID, calls seveal times/day, dead air when I pick it up.   Call the number and it just rings and rings, no pickup.

They call almost everyday 2 or 3 times a day

I get 3-4 calls from this number on my home phone every day, just dead air on the other end. I googled the number and came up with an ad that had the number in it.  The number belongs to a company called Scorpion Solutions, they sell high speed internet I think.  Why is nothing being done about this?  From looking at all the posts here, it seems to be going on for a long time now.

We've been getting numerous phone call from this number 4-5 times a day, I answered it one time and heard a woman talking, not to me.. but seems like having an argument with somebody. I keep saying hello and asking who she was but she never answered. I just file a complaint to National Do Not call Registry, we'll see what happen.

We have been getting this number on our caller ID. It is annoying because when they call, they don't leave messages on our answering machine.  It is just dead-air.  They seem to call at odd times.  They call late in the morning and early afternoon and also at night. They seem so determined to get a hold of some one but yet when the answering machine comes on they do not leave a message. I don't pick it up when it rings because I, too think it is a telemarketer.

I have gotten 6 calls from this number the past 2 days. They called on Saturday and Sunday, all hours. It is almost Christmas. No one ever says anything. When i call the number back, no one ever answers. Very annoying.

I get 2 or 3 calls a day. If you answer the phone there is no one there.

I looked up the number. It appears to belong to Record Pool Software. I sent them an email warning them of possible action if they continue.

877-888-8888  has been calling my  home 1-4 times a day. will not leave a message. answered it once and the person onthe other end was very rude. could not hardly speak english.

This number appears on my cell phone four or five times a day. I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize so they do leave voice mails that are 5 or so seconds of dead air. It is very annoying.

Same as above phone calls - told to take us off the list and refused as I to wasn't the spouse asked for by name.  Threatened to take them to small claims court as we have had 9 calls in 1 week...  me to very pissed off.

Began receiving these calls last week, several times a day. Never answer because I do not recognize the number-after seeing this web site sure won't be answering. I am also on the no-call list. As for having a block put on the number-I believe there is a charge for doing that.

called several times and when questioned the male voice said "i am caling from the kramer group and want to ask some questions about hospitals". when i asked for my number to be removed because it is an unplublished number the male caller responded "i am sorry we do not have the ability to remove you number" and hung up.


there is something very wrong in this country when we do not have the right to as our number be removed!!!  very wrong!!

I get a call on my cell phone every day, usually at the same time, from this number & let it go to voice mail where no message is every left.  I picked up once & no one would talk.  This has been going on for about 2 weeks now.  I am registered on the do-not-call list & this shouldn't be happening.  I hope they catch these b+*$%&ds & shut them down!

calls about survey for nurses working in acute care. the guy is always the same [***] and is very persistant.

We've been getting at least one call a day from 877-888-8888 for weeks and have started logging a complaint at FTC.gov each time. It takes only seconds to log in the complaint and maybe the agency will pay more attention if they see a much greater volume of complaints. I also sent an email to my congressman and both senators asking for assistance. Federal agencies do not blow off inquiries from our elected representatives on Capitol Hill. If a few congressmen or senators ask the FTC for an explanation, we may finally get some action on this caller.
