For all those who get these "automated" phone calls (telemarketing phone calls that involve a "robot" speaking to you..) They ARE illegal (federally and many states have additional fines), whether or not you are on the Do-Not-Call list.  There are quite stiff penalties for these types of calls, paid to the person who receives the calls.  We've been very successful suing these companies and penalizing them for delibrately violating the law.  Our advice for the best way to get rid of these calls ??  Find a lawyer who has experience (or a desire to learn) litigating "robot" calls and give him a log of 1) what number called 2)at what date and time 3)and information about what they were offering.   Other helpful information... if the "robot" has a name (for instance, if it says "Hi this is Ted with ____") and if the message says, which company is offering this fantastic opportunity.  You wouldn't believe how quickly they stop calling you after they write the large check !

so they can give you a loan $ 10,000.00 at $ 24.95 a month!

I got the same call today and googled it just now. How do I report these people?

All of these calls are driving me crazy! This is for a "secured credit line"! When calling back you have the option to pick number 9 to "opt out of this secured credit line" then the recording continues for "IF you're sure you want your phone number removed from their system, click number 1 and you'll have no more calls from them".  Time will tell, only time!!

This number keeps calling my cell and leaving automated messages on my voicemail.  I'm on the do not call list--and this is obviously a scam.  Does anyone know who to report these thieves to??

They call from TWO #'s.  I've recieved the same "extended loan" offer from 877-890-1291 AND 877-807-4696.  I have just went through the automated system to have my name removed from both.  It's the same recording, we'll see...

These people get your phone and email info when you fill out surveys on-line. I was filling out surveys for a number of different survey sites, hoping to make a little extra money, which of course is ridiculous, it doesn't work.  Subsequently, my email and cell phone have been sent literally thousands of messages about loan offers that I absolutely would not want. It is a nuisance and a hassle to try to get them to stop, they seem to multiply.  Beware of survey-sites!! And supply them with your phone number and email address.

I just got a call a few minutes ago and pressed "1" to have my number taken off of their list, but the automated voice said "your loan has been confirmed." Now I'm really freaking out because I read what another person posted about "God help you if you pressed 1" Am I really going to have to put a freeze on my credit because I pressed 1? I am really scared right now. I hate the scamming a$$holes!

Most telemarketers and any agency are working inside jails now, and some of criminal doing time and so they waist time dialing phone numbers, and if they get lucky.
Those criminal are stressed, and are seeking for sexy young voices Male/Female or young child to fantasize about, and chat to.... anyway use your imagination.
The person could be murderer, child molester, rapist or/and.

Yes; most the times those calls are coming from inside prisons; the criminals are fishing for times, It’s mean you.
If they get jack-pot, the problem it’s after fact; if they did not get rejected by you, they pass the number around in the prison and cell-mate to harass you.
Eventually one of these prisoners become a stalker, and never leaves you alone.
Remember, if they know more about you they become more powerful. For an example; blackmailing.

Please be careful with whom are you dealing with, Do not ever give your ID and/or phone numbers, addresses to any stranger on the phone, no matter what. Your life will be destroy and burn down.

Even if the person says that they are calling straight from the company, ask for the number, and tell them you’ll call them back right way.
The phony person hangs up on you or the number may not exist when you call them back.
Please just be careful dog eat dog.

The only option left, Bell Canada has dial *57 right away, same time conversation it automatically records, free of cost, the callers number and sends it to the neighborhood police station and OPP, as a report of harassment, and they will investigate, but you have to report this matter right way with your prove *57.

I think that i may have just been scammed by these people.I've been trying to get a loan online and i was stupid and gave them my info.What should i do? I didn't relize that it was a scam until i found the website.

I am on the do not call list - 1877-890-1291 keeps calling me. They are calling the elderly, disabled and the folks who are not informed. Get them please. If you have not reported this to someone who can abolish this I think the Attorney General should what do we pay these folks for if they can't help us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They call everyday and a person never comes on the line. They told me to go to their website and they will call back in 30 minutes.  Another scam!!! Just great!!!

I'm glad I'm not alone but I'm sorry we are all being harrassed by these morons. How do you get them to stop, they call my cell phone and waste my minutes and time. I'm so agrevated with this.

Great idea but you can rarely find a payphone today and *67 does not work for toll free numbers because they are the ones paying for the call.
