I am getting loads of calls from a company called
MCS Wealth.

When they call they CLEARLY specify MCS Wealth
in the message they play.

They use a fake caller ID with the name being as unavailable
and the fake phone number of 1-123-456-7890

They call about lowering your credit card intrest rate.

I have asked them now several times already to put me
on their do not call list and they refuse to do so.

They refuse to comply with Canadian laws which state that
if they are asked to put them on the do not call list that they
are to immediately do so. This company ignores this and continues
to call and call anyways.

This company seems to be a well known annoyance to a lot
of people there are many complaints about this
company.

They are also to display a proper phone number and a name when
calling not using a fake phone number and a name of "unavailable"

Also they are violating Canadian laws by not putting people on their
do not call list when people ask to do so.

According to MCS they claim that some one is using their name
and that this has been ongoing since March 2007

Looks like MCS Wealth had an old phone number of 1-800-493-1304 which is now

This is just a phishing attempt for them to get names, addresses and phone numbers

They are calling me at work and I'm getting very annoyed - I would never give them $490 to lower my interest rate!  What bunch of crooks they are and in a recession like this!!!

mcs has new numbers. I have two. 1-866-945-1131 ex 307  and 1-514-908-3713 I talked to a Sam Gonzales. He did everything he could to convince me this was a legit call to lower my interest rate. When he wanted credit
card number,expiry and number on the back of my card of course I refused.
He said he had all my info there and needed me to confirm but he couldn't
tell me my first name. I was very sceptical with questions and gave him the run around. He had anwers. Well trained. I told him no I'm hanging up
He called 4 more times after.

Here's the guy that's responsible for it all.  I called and spoke to him.  He first denied it was him but then became VERY curious about how I found his number.

Hi everyone, I got here by posting yesterday.  My call came from id:

506-220-24691 and a message left on my machine, no call back # given tho.
They want to lower our cc interest rate, one thing, we don't have cc's.  So you go figure?  What a joke, I am glad everyone is here and posting tho.  I am glad to 800notes too, they are wonderful.  I also have a fax # for United Savings Centre USC, Paul Thompson, via Mandy the office coordinator 5/5/09:  # 877-859-9109, toll-free, will cost THEM everytime you fax a demand to remove your tele #, or if you just want to talk to them, ha!!

Fax them back a black piece of construction paper. They will go through toner like crazy!

I got a call from 905-595-8640.  They claimed to be MCS Programs offering to lower our credit card interest.  Apparently there would be no out of pocket cost to us but eventually I found out $690.00 would be applied to our credit cards and we would pay for it out of our "savings".  I gave WAY to much info b/c I wanted it to be true but took a bit of time to quickly check it out online.  I didn't find anything positive online.  I got a bunch of East Indian type voices with very English names like Shane Watson, Kevin Ried, Michael Cole and Jerry Brown and the best one yet Michael Angelo (monitored the call so when I was going to back out he tried to intervene).  We called our visa company and they said that no third party company could use our visa without our permission and consented and if they did they would work on our behalf to get it back.  We still canceled our cards and are getting new ones.  MCS Programs gave me 1866-945-1131 as well as 1800-943-3250 and 1-514-908-9713 as customer service #'s.
They use technical names(FCCA)and terms (Ecommerce law)to convince you they are legit and say that if they just wanted your credit info they would have hung up on me once they got it.  I have yet to find a good report about this company.  This was our first call from a company that wanted to help us with our credit report that was not a recorded message.  This was their first call to us... we'll see what happens.

looks like these scammers are doin different ones I only googled mcsprogrames because I found it on  here after this happened today
they rang my granddad from number 1256789993 claiming to be IT INNOVATIONS and told him theyd received a signal that his computer was running slow (which it was) due to too much spam on his computer and they talked his through to check how how much spam was on his computer they talked him through a series of pop up boxes and he saw he had 1188 spam messages and then he deleted them (although he doesnt remember where he went on his computer he just followed the pop ups but is sure he didnt go on his email or log into it ) and then the man told him to log on to his bank so that he could make a payment of £160 for the service ... he did this and recevied a pop up and the man on the phone told him to click ok !!!!!!! at this point the man showed him hed got access to his computer on his bank site on his page and sed that hed got £900  in and would be fine taking this payment at this point he told he dint have that in and had he not seen that was overdrawn amount  and the man just left if at that. the police have been informed and the bank have also been told and hes had a computer tech come and clean up and check the computer and clean up anything that he mite of done.

If your call starts off with a message about getting lower interest rates on your credit cards, the company you want to complain to is
MUTUAL CONSOLIDATED SAVINGS.
