Called my cell phone yesterday afternoon while I was in a funeral service. Did not leave a message. I have filed a complaint against BCBS, after a person claiming to be a representative investigating a complaint I filed against a hospital. He took some information and assured me he would call back the next day.  I have yet to hear from him, but the hospital is being persistent with their charges. This guy might have been with the hospital pretending to represent BCBS. We have to be very careful what we tell people on the phone.

    Annoyed!
This is a telemarketer for Blue Cross Blue Shield Community Health Plan (and many others).
They leave voicemail telling you to call BCBS with a certain number.  When you call, you are offered different prescription drug plans and so forth.  They even try to talk you in to coming in for routine exams to your provider.  I suppose there is a way to "get off this list" but I think it's illegal (or should be) to bother us to begin with.

If this was really Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, why would they be calling me in Houston?  I know it's open enrollment time for Medicare and I get plenty of calls and postal mails about it, still they know they can't sell me a plan here.  I vote for blocking.

When you turn 65 you will get lots of calls for Medicare plans.  They maybe legit or they maybe scams.  Either case, you can research these plans online at medicare.gov or an independent agent.  Never do business with unsolicited calls.

    Well under Medicare age
They've called me twice now leaving messages with a reference number (same on both calls) and just tell me to call them. No reason why to call is left. They're trying to be tricky like it might not be a telemarketer call. This is my almost brand new work phone and I am nowhere close to Medicare age. My parents barely are.

And I'm sure that person who posted 3 YEARS AGO will be thrilled you looked up a known phone number to tell them who called them 3 YEARS AGO. By the way, why DID you look up the number? You already know who called you.

Called stating in broken English that this call was being recorded and I said why. Answer was re BCBS Medicare Advantage and I stopped them right there and stated we do not accept Medicare or Medicaid and definitely not any Advantage program. There is no reason to talk to me then. I hung up.
