- pemg| 1 replyThese people are calling my moms home and leaving the message that my ssn number has been used in a fraudulent and need to call this number asap. This started about a week ago. I have already contacted the atty. general in my state and filed a report.I have done some research on this number and they are India numbers.
- Caller: ACS
- IzzieThese people are calling me about a "Maydean Jenson" and the most recent ones are saying something about my social security number.
- Izzie replies to pemgWhat have you searched?

- JennaThey have been calling me also. They were looking for a "Leann McCarty". I called them back to inform them they have the wrong number and I only had to give them my first name and ensure them that I do not know Leann nor do I know anything about her...
- VenusThese people call me at least 10 times a day...now they are calling my job number telling me that my name, SS#, and account are now flagged for fraud, I should call asap to resolve and make a payment.
- Richard| 1 replyA guy named John Jacobs claiming to be with ACS & Associates just called me and left a message in my voicemail saying I needed to call that number by Nov 18 in regards to some fraudulent activity with my SS# & identity. He said it was urgent that I call by that date or else the case would be marked as unwillingness to comply. What's weird is the number that appears on my phone is 214-555-5555. I'm alittle leary of calling them back!!

- Jumpin JApex Capital Solutions, Orchard Park NY (but really India). Ignore their calls. Send a cease and desist letter immediately, and call your states' attorney general, nothing but illegal harassment.

- Heather AubinI have been getting this phone call all week saying that "They have been trying to get ahold of me to no avail and that legal action will be brought against me, if I dont call and resolve the matter". Now today I have received 2 calls from this 18779179137 saying fraudulent activity has been suspected on my ssn and bank account. Will call the attorney general to inform, thanks to all who posted, nice to know I'm not the only one. I think they have been calling my work number also.

- Tina TibbitsMy husbands phone was blowing up with calls from this number so I thought I better check into it. I am glad I did. They seem to change their number when people start catching on! I had the same problem in another state.
- I think they're scammersLast week I started getting calls at work and now they are calling more frequently than once. To the best of my knowledge debt collectors (if they are) cannot call you more than once per day. You should also be able to tell them not to call you at work and they should comply.
I think they are scammers and when you verify your name and ssn they will probably use it to do fraudulent activity.
They show an address and a website but when you click on the website all you get is a home page with no clickable working links.- Caller: ACS & Associates / Apex Capital Solutions
- Jack M. OffA Mr. Mark Turner left a message on my voice mail, saying I should call him at 1-877-917-0137 right away. No company name or any reason for the call. I will report this to the attorney general of my state.

- MARTIN| 4 repliesI got calls from them too.,for my brother..at first I thought they were fraudulent.,but I contacted them and realized they are legit. This are the people who keep our economy intact, by recovering the debts that many dead beats get and never want to pay. Nothing about what they do is harrasment.,it could be annoying.,but so are telemarketters. Except they were given our numbers.,they didnt just make cold sales call. Or your carrier gave you a recycled number. Either way.,they will remove it if you call them.,they dont want to waste their time calling the wrong people. That makes no money or sense. If you trully are annoyed call them, and they will remove your number. They did for me!

- TMReceived a call today from 877-917-0137 giving me a case number and saying it's a "sensitive matter" and I need to call them ASAP about an issue regarding my social security number. I'm fairly certain this is a scam because I received similar calls like this from other numbers. The only difference this time is the person leaving the message sounds American instead of Indian. However, it's probably a new tactic these scam artists are using. Similar to another person who posted below, I also received a call a few weeks ago from Apex Capital who had very specific details about a loan I had taken out a long time ago, claiming they wanted me to settle it for a very small amount of what I owed. I was working with a debt settlement agency so I called them first about this to ask if it was legitimate. My debt settlement agency called the original loan creditor who stated they NEVER hire 3rd parties to settle their loans and this was indeed a scam.
- BabaSame thing...debt collector, but calling for someone I don't know...and calling my cell phone (pre-paid mind you). Debt collectors are paid to harass people...and somehow that's legal.

- KevinI received voicemail from this number. They said I was a person of intrest in a case and they were trying to contact me. the begining of the message sound automated and then an amercian guy came on. I read the pervious comments on here and they all sound very similar to my call. In my area fraudulent calls are common coming in different forms and numbers. I figured this was one of those calls, googled the number and came up with this; thanks for your comments everyone.

- SoccermomI started receiving calls from these people about 4 months ago. Claiming that they have purchased a Cash Advance Loan Debt from Cash Net USA and that I am to immediately pay the balance to further any additional charges and legal fees. Problem is that I never took out a pay day loan. The information they have is all wrong except my ssn. When I tell them that they say so pay up. I have called the police department and state atty general to file a fraud investigation and have asked the company several questions regarding the loan and papers and they claim they do not have any of that information. They also stated that if I contact Cash Net USA that htey would say they are scammers.

- mclozano1I also got a voicemail from the same number, requesting that I cann back because they have several complaints against and will proceed if I fail to call the number ext1.

- MelissaI got a call from an automated system from this number: (877) 917-0137 for someone I used to know. I pressed 1 and got disconnected. I tried to call the number back several times and it didn't even ring, just disconnected. That was yesterday. Today I got a voice mail, with an account number for the other person, a message saying further pre-legal action was going to be taken without her input, and a notification to call 1-888-878-5206 ext. 1. Again, when I called that number, it didn't even ring and disconnected.
- josh replies to MARTIN| 1 replyRight, "martin"...'deadbeats' who lose their jobs and either feed their family or pay a debt.
'Deadbeats' who have money saved but then have it all wiped out with ONE unexpected medical bill that's in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
You're a cold fish 'martin'.
