Martin, you're an idiot. These loser collection agency's prey on people that are down on their luck, and most of the time are trying to collect on debts that aren't even valid. I would NEVER pay them or even talk to the [***].

Received a call this morning from this # on my company switchboard.  A recording with a rather loud, urgent-sounding man's voice stated they were calling for one of our employees (mentioned him by name).  The recording went on to say they'd received several complaints about this particular individual and that he needed to call them back within 24 hours to resolve the "issue".  The recording gave a call-back # but it was stated so quickly that I didn't have a chance to write it all down.  The recording never did say who they were or exactly why they were calling.

I called the # back and the initial recording says it's Apex Capital Solutions.

I find it funny everyone on here thinks its so harassing that collectors call them. If you have a debt you should pay it. If its a wrong number... Tell them. It's not a difficult concept.

I too got a call from this company. The woman who i spoke to was very nice, i requested a letter and received it in less then 24 hrs. I took the letter to my attorney and he said that I did in fact have to set up payments and work with this company if I didn't want this on my permanent record, Bottom line plain and simple NOBODY forgets taking out a payday loan, we just fall behind in payments, people there is no such thing as FREE money!!!! YOU borrowed it YOU spent it so why do YOU think you don't have to pay it back? REALLY-  Get real and pay up. They will work with you.

Hey look! They are uniting to even try and clear their name here. FDCPA states that it should be received via mail. Not email. It needs to be tangible.

I also got a call from acs. They told me that they were issuing a summons and if I didn't sign that a bench warrant would be issued. No one has been to my house to serve a summons. When I said go ahead and serve me, the man I was speaking with started to stutter. They are using a new number, 1-888-774-5827. Going to the sheriffs office tomorrow to have them look for the summons.

One thing I do know is in order for u to receive a letter in less than 24hrs, u have to live in the town in which the letter was mailed. So either u live in that town or your telling lies!!

Ha they did the same to me...they called me and it was my area code, but they left the number 888-878-5206. How funny. I'm getting sick of people posting comments stating, "why don't you just pay your bills" or "if you owe the money pay it" That is not the point here, the point is paying back the right individual, and not same scam artist. I have been dealing with these people for a long time and they cant even provide me with any adequate information..they seem to threaten me more when I ask. Now, there was this one time when one of them was bold enough to email me the payday loan application I susposedly filled out as proof that i owe...here is the funny part,my last name and bank information was inaccurate..it didn't even have a signature, and the 2009 date listed was wrong...the last time I took out a payday loan was way back in 2005, and it was paid off..I still have receipt. When I informed them about this, they started asking probing questions and got real short with me, told me best of luck and I hope you have an attorney. Still waiting.......still waiting.....I do agree that they will probably call from a different 800 number

Don't you just love when you get them stuttering? As I stated earlier..I'm still waiting to be arrested..My most recent threat of arrest was last week, they were going to come to my office and do it, but no one ever showed up...imagine that. I got stood up by the arresting police officer, and to think that I wore my special bra and panties for the strip search (oh woe that is me...). Some fool called me this past Tuesday (from my area code) it was them yet again, and I asked, "hey weren't you guys supposed to have me arrested?" and the lady called me a "B" and hung up on me..but oh if you believe what other posters claim, this company is legit and we should just give them the money we owe...mmmmmmmmm. If this company is legit, then they need to get their records straight and re train their staff to follow the Debt collecting laws.

YES....received an e-mail "copy" of the original letter they sent to me. I took out a cash advance 4yrs ago and have since moved. The original letter they sent to me was to my old address..and YES I did take the letter to an attorney friend. I am sure not everyone has the same story but I DID take out a loan and I didn't pay it because at the time I was dealing with more pressing health issues and the cash advance company was the least of my concerns. There is an awful lot of angry debtors in the world. Just an FYI I also provided references when I took out the loan.

Thank you APEX for helping me clear my credit with smaller payments that I can afford. I appreciate it!

Scum of the earth junk debt buyers.  They buy debts that people have already paid, or they have been discharged in bankruptcy or they are past the statute of limitations, or they can't find the real person so they call anyone with a similar name.  They use these illegal tactics to try to collect because it's the only chance they have.  It's really no different than an extortion scam.
    http://creditboards.com/ is a good resource.

They can't get you arrested and it is illegal for them to tell you that.

Regardless of how low I am for failing to pay a debt, I am still way above these real fools who will use every excuse in the book in refusing to send me a validation of a debt, required to be provided from them 'by returned receipt mail' by federal law, if you ask for it.

I received a call from this company Apex claiming that they have the rights of a pay day cash loan from Cash Advance Network 8/10/08.  The woman was American(sounded black american) and the name she gave was Sara Jones.  She kept trying to convince me that she was trying to help me as I was flagged and this debt info may be sent over to the state I live in if I did not make payment arrangments through them.  My debt is supposedly $985 and they only asked for a "good faith payment" to my debtor of $48. However, when I stated that I wanted to contact the original owner of the loan and if it is legitimately owed I would pay them directly, she said I couldn't because they no longer own it.  I have been contacted in the past by scammers from other countries and pointed this out to the woman, she validated my claims stating that I was the 5th person today who told her that and that if I get the call again I should certainly report those callers.  she went on to say, that I should be able to see how legitimate they are because I found the company's name online(however, no real identifying information or legitimate website) just a location in NY. I told her that does not make them legitimate so I wasn't going to transact any business over the phone regarding my account information.  She commenced to speak louder, faster and challenging stating that the other callers(scammers) couldn't be found online and she knows that for a fact. I then hung up on her.

The interesting thing about my call from Apex was that the number was 410-505-5307 but Ms. Jones gave me the number 1877-719-5203 and she also said that I couldn't call her back. I had to make a payment arrangement before I hung the phone up.
