They call any time of the day. I made the mistake and answered their call one day because I'm looking for a job and hoped that it was a potential employer~WRONG. Since I answered they've been calling. They don't call everyday though which is nice. And I'm on the do not call list; guess that doean't matter though.

Constar Financial Services has called my parents (who live 5 states away) in regards to a 2006 Saab vehicle. It had been leased in my name and my father was a co-signer. Constar Financial Services is stating that there is money owed. A despicable human being named Mark Johnson, has continued to claim that he was hired by General Motors to collect the monies for the vehicle. General Motors has no knowledge of Constar Financial and believes this to be a scam. The 2006 SAAB was returned to the dealer on March 2, 2009 (on time) and the vehicle was inspected, and the dealer and I had signed off on the paper work, the lease term had ended. Both I and my father have been in touch with General Motors and have received a “Thank you for your business” letter. Also in writing, I have a letter stating I owe NOTHING and General Motors considers this account closed and on good terms. The HARRASSMENT AND THE LIES NEED TO STOP!!! We have contacted the State Attorney General's Office and are waiting for a response, but if there is anyone else who may be of assistance, please advise. I will be checking this site daily

Constar financial continues to call f- Similar situation to a leased car -which I turned in and all appropriate paperwork has been completed.  Unfortunately, I purchased the same type when I turned in the leased one.  Different color, &  there are other differences as far as the extras.  The company insists I still owe them, but I do not
they continue to call and leave message sounding very professional but please return the call as tho you have applied for a job with them and they want a phone interview.  They call on weekends as well so please be aware!!

Constar is a scam!!!! They get your information off of your credit report and try to collect on a old debt! I'm sure alomost everyone that has constar calling them had their credit run for one reason or another right before the calls started. DO NOT PAY THEM A PENNY!!! lie....lie...lie...that is what this company does! The worst one is Andrew!

I actually just dealt with a very professional woman, Melissa at extension #311 and she was very polite, accommodating and informative. I have an old credit card debt which I stopped paying when I lost my job last year. I mean, credit cards or mortgage? I picked mortgage. Now I have a lesser paying job through a temp service, but it is money coming in... I feel much better now I can pay off my debt. She laughed when I asked her if working for CONstar was like working for criminals, but she didn't answer...

Received a vmm on my work phone from a nice gentleman named David Bastin w x311 listed. My only issue is that they called work an not my cell #. Will call them and try to see what they tell me. I don't give out any information to anyone that I don't know or or I don't initiate it.

You can offer them anything you want to send; once they return a payment, you can get a nice consumer attorney, and could possibly be debt free.  Simply refuse to give any financial info over the phone, and insist on getting a mailing address, then you just send what you want to give them.  Of course, this is AFTER they send you written confirmation that:
1.  You are the correct person
2.  They are licensed to do business in your state
3.  They are authorized by the owner of the actual debt to collect it.

Make 'em work for it.

Do not know number...and male caller left no info to identify his comapany.  I never return these calls!!!

Collecting on an old car that was totaled a year ago.  I have no issues with paying for it but these people are so rude!  I'm doing my best to work with them, but with attitudes like that, how can you? They just make you mad and not want to answer them.  I dealt with Christine Battershell @ x307... At first she was nice, she said I had 2 options to pay, one being moneygram and the other a check over the phone.  I told her I would do the money gram, she put me on hold forever so I hungup, she called back and her tone changed and she was rude, she said the only way they could accept a payment was a check over the phone.  I asked about money gram and she said it was unavailable to me, so I asked why she would offer it to begin with, then she went off, demanded I ask a friend for their checking account numbers and I could pay them and it was my fault for not having a checking acct, Finally I told her to shut up, she says "Excuse me?" I said you heard me, you people want money from me call back when you get some manners.... Guess I'll wait and see if she calls back.... RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!!

Their automated system calls a leaves an incomplete message with no identifying information at all. Apparently, they did not actually want to speak with anyone here, so now they're blocked. Homey don't play dat.
