I just recently had my phone number changed. Undoubtly, this must have been the phone number of Charles Briddell. It is no longer.- Caller: Constar Financial

- Amazed & Confused| 1 replyCalls from 877-968-2735, pick up and its an automated message so I hang up. Immediately after hanging up I receive another call from 601-301-3189 with the exact same automated message, so I hang up. AGAIN immediately after hanging up I receive yet ANOTHER call from 901-881-8197 with the exact same message. Funny....when I trace these numbers back I come up with different business names....for instance; the 901 # is for a home remodeling company. So this company of slimeballs are now masking there #'s with legit company phone numbers which in turn will have a negative impact to the legit company.
Sometimes all you can say is WOW, just WOW. - Princess Pi replies to AMYou are a troll for the company. A bottom feeder debt collector who makes up debts or tries to collect debts out the the SOL or so old they are zombie debts. DO NOT CALL THEM!!!!! Do not answer the phone.
- Princess Pi| 3 repliesBottom Feeder debt collector. Called our house AFTER 9 PM which is against the law. They don't follow the law. They dig up old out of SOL debts and try to collect, they buy uncollectible debts from other bottom feeders, and they MAKE UP debts that never existed. We have no outstanding debts that are overdue. We have our mortgage, car payment, an emergency card, and a pennys card. Period. Nothing on our credit reports and my credit score is 800 and so is my husband's. DO NOT TALK TO THESE PEOPLE! And if they write to you, send a validation letter AND cease and desist. You can find a great letter on fair debt practices.com.

- MAD replies to Amazed & ConfusedWE DONT "MASK" #'S, WERE ARE YOUR FACT?, BUT YOUR RIGHT IN SAYING ALL YOU CAN SAY SOMESTIMES IS "WOW"
- MAD replies to Princess Pi| 2 repliesBOTTOM FEEDERS?, WOW THATS ORIGIONAL, FIGURED YOU, SINCE YOUR SOOO EDUCATED IN 3RD PARTY DEBT COLLECTIONS, COULD COME UP W/ SOME NEW MATERIAL
- Gunnar replies to MADOK, you illiterate minion. I'll jump right in here then & explain your position with a little more "origionality". You're nothing but a low-paid blow-hard trying to scam a commission to supplement your laughable pay-check. You spend your worthless existence on the phone trying to collect invalid, time-barred or purely bogus debts. Your "portfolios" come from the bargain bin because your JDB is as broke as you are. Or you don't even try to work real debts because you're a fraud sitting in a foul call center earning less in a day than a real American spends on his morning cab ride to work.
People here learn their rights under the FDCPA very quickly. Which means that you losers working the bogus debt rackets are growing more destitute daily. Would you like to discuss the debt collection industry with me? I know it better than you ever will. Both sides of it. The legitimate & that sorry side of it that you're on. Try & show me some "new material"! I'll shove it right up your back-side!
Skeff Ett Liv!

Got it? - ABThese people are scammers. Do not call them back. Do not give them any money. You have rights in this country and one of those rights is that if you a debt, the debt collector must notify you by mail and show that he has the permission of the original debtor to collect on the debt. A debt collector might call you after they have notified you by mail but they are not allowed to be rude, threaten you, or call you at work. Also, they must call you within certain hours for the day and not on weekends or after 9:00 pm. Be careful about giving your bank or credit card information to anyone who calls you. As a rule, just do not share that information over the phone unless you make the call in the first place with the intent to pay a bill that you know that you owe. All bills have a statute of limitation, also. Check your rights before you pay anything. Demand it to be sent to you, via US Mail from a US Post Office in writing. Also, if someone wants to validate a scammer on a site such as this, they are already of questionable character. You cannot be accused of owing someone money by someone who has no idea who you are or what your situation is. These people are the scum of the earth and I hope they rot in hell.

- Freaked out| 2 repliesI found a debt I didn't realize I still had. I called the original business (directv) and they gave me the constar financial services number. They said they are the third party collection that has the account now. I want to lay this and get it taken care of, but after reading all these posts, I'm freaked out!!! I want to clear this up and the company supervisor gave me this services name so I would think it would be legit.....😬 now I don't know what to do bc directv can't help with the account anymore....
- Freaked out replies to Freaked out*pay* this
- Sir Bedevere replies to Freaked outYou may want to seek the aid of a credit counseling service. Whoever you deal with you need to make ABSOLUTELY SURE you get complete validation of the debt IN WRITING. There are thousands of scammers out there who would love to trick you into paying them. No matter how much money you pay it won't reduce your debt one cent if you pay it to the wrong person.
A legitimate creditor will be able to prove that you owe the money AND that they are the agent licensed to collect it. If you don't get proof of this in writing you should not give them a penny because you'll just be throwing the money away. - JWCalled and left no message. Rude on the return call. I think they'd be able to come up with a better name for their company than CONstar... a little on the nose there.

- BertrandThese are scavenger debt collectors. They buy up old, usually invalid debts for pennies on the dollar then try to profit. Ignore them. Don't pick up the phone. They are bottom of the barrel.

- Weird call| 1 replySomeone called me from (615) 246-2865 claiming to be from Constar Financial (that's what the caller ID said as well) telling me they represent eBay and did I ever receive any mail at the following address...I interrupted her and asked, "Wait. What is this about?" She responded, "Well first I need to verify some information and then I will tell you why I'm calling." I laughed and said "So you want me to tell you my address and then you'll tell me who you are and why you're calling?" She said "If it sounds sketchy, you can verify through eBay" I laughed again and said "Of course this sounds 'sketchy'!!!!" She responded, "Well, we are an ACTUAL company...." I couldn't hold it in...I laughed again and said "Well I'm happy that you are an ACTUAL company but....no thank youuuuuu" and hung up. Sounds like a scam to me.
