No calls from this number, but it was listed on a fraudulent check sent to my bank.  Whenever I call, I get a recording saying to call back during business hours.  The memo on the fake check said "CPB"

I would treat ANY calls from this number as a scam, and not give out any information!!!

Dispute the item with your bank.  You should be recredited and the bank should file an adjustment with the bank that accepted the deposit of the check.

My Mom's acct was charged over $480 on 9/25 to Sun Bright also, with same CPB notation and phone no. to call.  I just get that recording.  We are filing a protest with her bank today.  The sad thing is the bank tells me that the Federal Banking regulations do not allow banks to offer elderly a safer checking account to where someone can write paper checks and disallow any electronic bank or phone authorizations to prevent this type of fraudulent activity.

My mothers account was hit for $448.52 on Sept 26. Had to go through the process with the bank for a replacement of funds. the transfer  shows SUN BRIGHT as pay to and the memo as CPB and the phone number of 1-877-992-4757. I called this number and got a recording to call at normal business hours. I would like to know how in these days of tek servailence this can happen.

This just hit my mothers account as well. No caller, has Sun Brite on the E check. It states that no signature is required. Are you kidding me? Called the number several times to no avail, just a recording. She called her bank they are looking into it. I am filing a fraud investigation and requesting her bank credit her. Then I am calling "Get Gephart"! This is ridiculous. Wish they could be caught!

If Sun Brite is looking at this, I hope you needed that money worse than our elderly parents and I hope you get caught with your pants down. What goes around comes around!

    Hi Lou,

I just contacted the company. It is an answering service called, United Answering Services.
They handle business for a firm, Guaranteed Medical for You. I told them they scammed my mother,
and they played a recording of her giving her banking info. I did not get a recording of the actual phone
call, so I don't know what they told her prior to that.
It's supposed to be some sort of Medical Discount for Seniors. They charged her checking account - $448.52.
If you want more info., leave your email here and I will correspond with you directly.
    Thanks.

Has any of the people who were charged this money received anything in the mail yet?
    We have received nothing.
The phone call transaction took place in July, but the charge was put through in September.
My Mother is also elderly, and she does not know what happened until she discovered the charge to her
    checking account.

Let me know what happens with your bank.
I told the firm who handles the Customer Service (United Answering Services) for SunBrite (or whatever their name is) that they scammed my Mother, and I am demanding a refund for the amount.
The representative, Mark, told me that I will be receiving a policy in the mail, and once I do, I can call back with the no. to request this.
    Still nothing has been received.
If you want to correspond my email, just leave yours and I will email directly.

Hit my mom today also.  Her bank (Comerica CA) gave her a phone # for Sun Bright.  She called and talked to a rep.  They played her a recording of a woman giving the bank account #.  My mom adamantly denies ever giving anyone her bank # over the phone.  She said that it was not her voice on the recording.  They probably have a generic old man and old women voice that they use.  She has caller ID and does not answer the phone unless she recognizes the #.  Will be a big fight at the bank though.

    Lou,

Is your mom sure it is her voice?  My mom did not think it was hers.

My bank was able to enlarge the back of the check and read the endorsement.  Sun Bright Hotel in NYC!!!  This should help your fraud claim.  I don't know many hotels that sell health care to seniors!

    Phil,

It's for Sun Bright Hotel in NYC???
What is your bank going to do?
Did they credit your Mom's checking account?
Has anyone received anything in the mail from this firm? Allegedly, it's supposed to be a medical discount program for seniors. The customer service rep. claims my Mom will receive her paperwork in the mail.
Does anyone else bank with PNC?
I listened to the recording - it sure sounded like my Mom's voice.
Can anyone provided success story here as to how their bank handled this fraud?
