This just happened to My Mom's account yesterday. I found it today.
Called the back and filed a dispute. The only thing she did recently was get a Life Watch Medical Alert system. My Dad just passed away back in January so she is alone and thought it would be good to do. She gave them her credit card number but they seem legit so far. However, in the packet was a bunch of offers for discounts. Sorry just trying to find a common denominator here.
Has anybody's parents recently subscribe to a Medical Alert system?
I'm not saying it was because of that (she gave credit card info, not checking account info), just looking fo any help.

My Mom did not purchase a Life Watch Medical Alert.
I assume that this hit her checking account - not her credit card?
This was also done to my Mother, as you will see my posts here.
I'm hoping that someone banks with PNC, like my Mom. I need to get her money refunded back to her,
as she is living on limited fixed income.
    Thank you.

Diane, has your Mom filed a dispute directly with the bank ? Also, because she says she never gave anyone her checking account number, has she filed a police report ? If not, these would be the first steps.

Also, to further protect her credit, I would recommend a few more steps, especially since she says she didn't give them the information, and this is my recommendation to all of you whose parents have been taken in by this, but didn't give the information. Please have them place flags on their credit reports with Experian,TransUnion, and Equifax. This will prevent anyone from taking out new lines of credit in their name without verification that they are indeed the ones applying. The protection is free and lasts for 6 months. Also, it can be extended if need be.

This happened to my dad. Does anyone know if they (SunBright) try to charge more than once? I am wondering if they will try it every month. I plan on closing my dads account.
My dad said they sounded real professional and put multiple people on the phone to sound more official and kept mentioning Medicare or Medicaid so he thought it was official. Not sure what info he gave out, but they got him for the same amount others got hit for.

I'm assuming that since they used an E-check, it only goes through once.
This hit my Mom's checking account on the 17th of September.
Has anyone received anything in the mail from Sun Bright?
Info. was supposed to be sent out - some sort of policy - but nothing has arrived here.
Has anyone actually received a credit from their bank? Does anyone bank with PNC?

SAME THING happened to my parents on Oct. 8--a check was written on their account with the name Sun Bright on the payee line.  FRAUDSTERS!  Be checking your bank statements carefully.  My bank told me they were focussing on the elderly.

Same amount was scammed from my parents.  The bank reimbursed them and have opened a fraud case against them.  I have also contact my state's attorney general and am expecting a call back from the Dept. of Justice.   I will not leave my email but will continue to follow the posts.  I've learned my lesson the hard way via my parents' trusting to leave personal info.

Marina - how did they get access? I wasn't on the call to my Mother, but I believe they misrepresent who they are to gain access to the checking account - taking advantage of senior citizens.
Fortunately, my Mother's bank is crediting her back the money and requested she close her checking account.
It's inconvenient to re-open a new checking account, but it's worth it to get the money refunded.

SunBright lied to me when I contacted them - telling me that we would be receiving a policy in the mail and nothing arrived to date. I was demanding a refund directly from them, but they said they could not do this until we were issued a policy no. What a bunch of crap.
Your best bet will be to go directly to your bank and alert them to this fraudulent firm. Ask for a refund.
I hope this firm is shut down.
    Good luck.

My brother gave his info to a computer repair scammer and also sent them a check. We closed acct. and phone number but I know the company knew it was "caught" . Then hen this Sun light check for $448.52 appears dated Oct, 11m the date we closed the acct and via his phone number. So either the computer company is involved or sold his information. Same stuff as you BUT I had disconnected the number and took his checks that morning so he couldn't have contacted them.. I hope these folks are found and prosecuted!

    Parent scammed
My father received a call from this company and due to a brain injury gave out his bank information.  We closed the account but a bank error allowed it to be reopened and the Client Service & Support company scam hit them for several hundred dollars.

It was a "pre-authorized" check made out to Sun Bright and included this phone number which is never actually answered by a person.

To date, we have received nothing from this company after I was promised a policy and info. packet.
I had contacted their Customer Service - demanding a refund for scamming my Mother.

They are a total scam. My Mother's bank is going to return the money to her checking account, since it was an e-check. She has to close her account.
Whatever they are telling the seniors, it's a total lie. They need to be caught and prosecuted.

My mom got hit by this. It is indeed this same outfit. Her bank is repaying her and closing/opening a new account for her. My concern is this:
If these people are not prosecuted (which a busy bank probably doesn't have time for) then they will continue to hit others or even "hit" the same folks. I mean, what good does it actually do to change bank account #s if they were not given permission to debit the account to begin with.
I KNOW my mom. She remembers the call. She hung up on them almost immediately then they called her back and put a "supervisor" on. They represented themselves as a Medicare Approved Discount program... They need to be prosecuted by state and federal authorities. The FBI and Medicare should go after these people.
I am so angry it makes me want to just go and find them myself. But I won't. THAT would be illegal.  -- Companies like Sun Bright will just change their name and continue.
If everyone on this thread called the FBI, something would happen, no?

By asking Sun Bright for a refund you are playing into their hands. You are in fact admitting that you purchased something from them. This is NOT - IMHO - the way to handle this. Report them as Check/ID Fraud & Medicare Fraud to the FBI.
The address associated with them is a UPS Store in a strip mall that has a Publix in it. Their "address" is a "drop box".

OMG! I just called the customer service # for SunBright - 1-877-992-4757 and they told me to call GMY Benefits at 1-855-778-0094. This shrill Indian woman answered and asked how many times I was going to call and told me how stupid I was. I hung up on her. WHAT A SCAM! They got money out of my mother's check book. Make sure you do a dispute/unauthorized check claim through your bank!
