What happens if the "poor business people" are not actually business people but just plain consumers who are receiving these annoying calls from a computer? They could care less about this company and the company should not be contacting them in the first place.
If the contact call worked for you be happy but don't put down others who just want to live their lives free of ignorant people.

Received a call today, 10-28-2008 @ 11:16am CT, from this 888-123-1234 number.  He asked if I sell CATV system, which I do, and asked if I offer finance options to my buying customers.  Looks like he is trying to sell leasing packages that my customers can use when buying products from me.  I was not interested.  My customers pay in full all the time.

Received a call from 888-123-1234 and let the answering machine get it. A pleasant sounding gal named Liza actually left a message indicating she'd like to learn more about my business and asked that I call her back at 866-768-0073, ext. 4336... Marlin Business Lending.

according to this url it's from a Remax Agency http://www.rocky-remax.com/faqs.php.  SOB's have been calling me too.

numerous calls & hang ups

got a call today.  persistent pushy man asking to speak to the credit or finance manager.  i told him i dont pass on solicitation calls. then i asked him why does his number show 888-123-1234 he pauses stammers and then he claimed he didnt know why and quickly hung up.

i got a call from them again today.  i dont know how many times i have to tell no and dont call us again. so today i just hung up on them with out letting them talk.  they called back 3 times in a row. each time i hung up.  geez! get over it and move on.

Receive calls multiple times a day from this number and when answered they just hang up.  Caller ID shows only Toll Free Number, no business name.  I assume this is still Marlin Leasing since all of these posts are several years old.

888 123-1234 is now on my blocked call list.  What a waste of time they are.  They called me 3 times during the busy part of my day and I never answered because I was busy not because I wouldn't have but I was on the other line.  They called a 4th time and I picked up, they asked me if this was_____(my name) and I said "yes", and they hung up!!!! Bast*&*&&rds need to get a life.

I got a call from this 1 888 123-1234 today to and there was a person laughing in the background and then they just hung up. I called the number back and got a message your call can not be process you must check the number and call again. A few minutes later the phone rang again this time a woman said please don't send him back laughing and hung up.

I began receiving these calls today.  I emailed Marlin Leasing and asked them to stop calling.  they stated they have changed the number as 888-123-1234 is being used by another company now.  When i received the third call of the day at my lunch hour, I answered it.  The girl i talked to said she represented Product Management at the Brainy Baby Store (from whom I placed an order last week).  She couldn't really give me a reason she was calling and I finally told her i just wanted my order processed and shipped.  I have since emailed the company and told them not to call me or sell my number.  We'll see...

I have received several calls on my cell phone from 888-123-1234. No one is on the line when I answer and call does not go through if I call back. This is very disruptive and annoying.

Calls a few times a day - the last call interrupted my phone call as call waiting without me even pushing button to answer the waiting call.
