When I called I was told there was to be a legal action filed against me concerning US Bank Account from 2013, I stated that i received no notice concerning this and the item was never on my credit report and I demanded something in writing itemizing their claim so I may dispute the claim. I was told that I could respond to the summons and complaint unless I paid them $1295 immediately, And if it went to court I could owe over $4000.
I filed a complaint with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau against first Equity and US BANK AND RECEIVED AN ANSWER FROM US Bank BUT RECEIVED A REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR FIRST EQUITY ????

Re: Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Case #190409-3975709
Dear Lee T. Lumsden:
We received your request for assistance filed with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau on April 10, 2019,
regarding your U.S. Bank account. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to respond to your concerns. U.S. Bank
is committed to the products and services we offer, but more importantly, the customers we serve each and every day.
In your summary, you state you received a call on April 8, 2019, advising you to call First Equity. When you called, you
were told a legal action had been filed against you concerning an account you had with us from 2013. You state you
had never received a notice regarding this nor had it ever been reported on your credit. You requested something in
writing itemizing their claim. You were told you needed to pay $1,295 immediately; otherwise, if this went to court you
would owe over $4,000. You are requesting proper notification of the debt.
We have reviewed our records and investigated your concerns. Upon our review, we located a checking account ending
with 3376 that was opened on June 2, 2009. An unresolved overdraft caused your account to be forced closed on
October 21, 2009. The balance of $795.64 was charged off and transferred to our Recovery Department for further
collection.
When payments were not made to satisfy the outstanding balance, we sold your account to United Credit Recovery on
February 18, 2011. Following the date of the sale, we no longer have rights to your account. Please work with the
current owner of your account in order resolve your concerns and/or to satisfy any outstanding balance that may be
owed.
Lee T. Lumsden, we regret any frustration this issue has caused you and hope this response provides you with
clarification of our position on this matter. If you have questions regarding your account prior to the date of sale
referenced above, you may contact our Recovery Department by telephone at 866.434.2103, Monday – Friday 9 a.m.
to 6:30 p.m. ET.
Sincerely,
Michelle Nickerson

- SQ replies to BJThe same happened to me on 8/23. I took a photo of the number and shut my computer down immediately. About 10 minutes turned it on again and within a few minutes the same message flashed across my computer again. What do I do? I will have to take it to my local IT shop I guess if it happens one more time.
- Josh ReadyThis number is also currently involved in a McAfee Renewal email scam. They say your 10 license ultimate edition is going to renew for $349 today (whichever day you receive it) and to call that number for assistance.
