But they call even when there is no payment due. I've not been late once, but from the day I financed my car they have called every single day.  And no one is there when I pick up.  This is insane.  I finally downloaded a call blocker on my phone specifically for these idiots.

i just moved into an apartment and my cable company had a free offer for home phone and free hbo for 6 months and my bill would drop $3. I thought why not try it, it's free and saving me money. Boy,who ever had this nmber before me, must be a real dead beat. Iget calls from these people, i do not knwo who they are and i have tried to call them back but theyhang up on me. I just got this number and have not given it out to anyone, soi know they are not calling for me. Plus some of the other calls i get are for some one named Dana, not my name. Calling from collection places, lawyers saying they are being taken to court for not paying child support and so on.I'm tired of it. I get a call once an hour from this company and there is no way to get them to stop. I think i may just unplug the phone.Who thought somthing free would cause so much hassle.

They have now also bought out all of the HSBC Auto loans.   I'm ontime and my first payment with them is not due yet.  They are war-dialing my work and mobile phones... no one there.   Will probably be looking to see what I can do legally if this keeps up!

These [***] call me harassing me because I was one week late.  I told them that I will pay them thru Western Union.  This clown as me for all my information, such as "was is your phone number"  I said, "didn't you just call me"  she got rude, and I hung up in her face.  They acted as though I was three months behind on my payment.  As soon as I pay off this loan, belive me, I will never recommend this firm to anyone.

They did. They call incessantly, and when I explained that I had missed one payment, due to a documented hardship, and was requesting a deferment of that payment, they said I wasn't far enough behind to be eligible. I'm constantly one month behind because I can't afford two payments in one month, and they said they wouldn't take partial payments. Eventually, when I insisted, the rep claimed to apply for a deferment, but if there was an application made, it was declined. I have written to them and asked for help, and they literally ignored my letter.

I am about ready to write and tell them I want to do business in writing only--but I'm afraid that will lead them to repossess in retaliation, even though I'm only a month behind (and wouldn't be that if they'd work with me). Any thoughts, anyone?

Btw, they have a 214 number which still says it's Drive--but Santander is the new name. You can get calls that say they're from both companies, apparently. But Drive is now Santander. I think they had another name at one, too--something about Road or something like that. They never call our references, but they call us 3-5 times a day, on home and cell numbers.

You believe that because you do not live in the state of Texas. There aren't really any protections for consumers here.

I agree completely. 50%+ of the times that I answer for them, they either hang up immediately or wait a minute to hang up. Probably lazy reps who need to meet a call quota without actually having to do anything. The rep that usually calls also hangs up on me when I try to tell her not to call at certain times. Her way of not getting that message, I suppose.

These clowns have called me over 50 times in a two month period. I have told them they have the wrong number as they ask for a person I have never heard of and the calls continue.

These butt holes keep calling, asking for a 'Robert'...  I've told them there is no person by this name at this phone number or address, but they keep calling back.

Biggest problem is that it is an automated calling service - and sometimes the system doesn't pick-up, it just 'hangs there'...

Just told them to take my number out of their database, and stop calling.  ANY more calls from them, and I will contact the FCC.

This is Santander calling.  They took over for HSBC Auto.  Santander calls 3-4 times a day.  I unfortuneately average a month behind because I cannot catch up due to financial hardship.  They don't leave a message.  HSBC used to call every hour, so I don't care if Santander calls.  I am so upside down on my car they would lose a ton of money to repo it, so I think they know that and just call to threaten.  :)

i doubt they will do anything if you are merely a month behind.  I think we all are upside down on our car loans...i cannot wait to be done paying off this dumb car.

Thing is HSBC didn't call my work line all the time, this place does.  I have asked them not to but they continue to call me at work.  I just don't answer but it is very annoying.  I will probably just get current....I guess that is what they want anyway.

If they told you they won't take partial payments they are lying to you! They will take whatever money you send them. I pay just slightly over half a monthly payment every 2 weeks and they take it. If you can afford to pay half your payment every 2 weeks you'll make 13 monthly payments in 12 months. This will get you current. I also logged on to my account and changed my work and cell phone numbers to numbers that don't exist. This ended the annoying calls. Lastly, do what I intend to do. Do a total money makeover. Commit to a life with no debt. Pay off this(and all) debt as quick as possible. Then start making a monthly car payment to yourself in an interest bearing account. Save up and buy your next car with cash. Stop dealing with these leeches!!
