I don't have any car payments, credit cards or financial debt at all. All my stuff is paid for (older then dirt and not in prime condition, but then neither am I). I do not know why this company is calling my work number (direct line) or why no one speaks when I answer, but they have called twice today. Maybe they will realize their mistake...or at least talk to say why they're calling. I know it's wishful thinking but I believe in miracles!

Just got a call 9:00 pm I get 3-4 a day they want ssn& phone  number & address I told them I don't give out that information she told me she would not give me any information until I give her my information she told me were are not arguing with me she said she was going to write down I will not answer her questions then hung up on me the next time she called I told her that I'm not arguing with her I hung up so so so tired of all theses people get a real job

Are you saying that this scum has not only the nerve but the right to harrass a child?!  Why isn't there a law against this?!  How low can you go?!

Justice Department Reaches Settlement with Santander Consumer USA to Resolve Allegations Concerning Over 1,100 Illegal Car Repossessions Against Service Members

Santander Consumer USA Inc. has agreed to pay at least $9.35 million to resolve a lawsuit by the Department of Justice alleging that the motor vehicle lender violated the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA), the Justice Department announced today.  The complaint and the settlement, which is subject to court approval, were filed today in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

The settlement covers the improper repossessions of 1,112 motor vehicles between January 2008 and February 2013.  The proposed consent order represents the largest settlement for illegal automobile repossessions ever obtained by the United States under the SCRA.

“This is a just resolution that will provide service members with financial relief and help repair their bad credit caused by Santander’s improper repossessions and fee collections with respect to more than 1,100 cars,” said Acting Associate Attorney General Stuart Delery.  “The Department of Justice will continue devoting time and resources to protect our service members and their families from such unjust actions and hold bad actors accountable."

The lawsuit alleges that Santander initiated and completed 760 repossessions, without court orders, of motor vehicles owned by SCRA-protected service members.  The agreement requires Santander to pay $10,000 plus compensation for any lost equity (with interest) to each of these service members.  The lawsuit also alleges that Santander sought to collect fees arising from an additional 352 repossessions that unrelated motor vehicle lenders had conducted in violation of the SCRA before Santander acquired the loans.  The agreement requires Santander to pay $5,000 to each of these service members.  Santander also must repair the credit of all affected service members.

This person leaves messages for someone who has never lived here and when I tried to call them back i get leave your account num and they will get right with me this is a machine. I have answered  the phone num, when they call and it is blank for several mins so I hang up. What gets me they call all day starting at 8am and have  not stop once I got a call at midnight. This is so irritating and you cant talk to a real person to get them to stop.

Anyone who operates a business under a GMAIL account is not likely to be legitimate.

If you try to return the call to inform them they have the wrong number, you cannot get to a representative unless you have the person they ask for information. Block...

These scum sucking pigs call no less than 5 times each day, everyday, weekdays, weekends, holidays, you name it. They call ANY time, day or night and if confronted with the time limits and/or anti-harassment rules imposed by the state and federal debt collections acts, they respond that those rules don't apply to them because they are based outside the United States. If our government won't help us by enforcing the rules, why the HELL do they help them by allowing them to take action to recover. Guess a lot of the money they make must line a lot of politicians pockets.

If they are dong business with US citizens, the rules most certainly apply.

This number just keeps leaving messages.  I have never been around when they have called, and I get messages about three times a week.  The message is always from someone named Kristina, saying that she was calling for Daniel Schwarznegger, and asking to call them back.  The one time I did no one picked up, as it was an 800 number.  They still keep calling, and it is very annoying.

I am getting phone calls this vendor for my BF's car payment. I ignore the calls because it's not my business, it's his.

Called my cell phone left a message for a Brandon, who ever that is.   So Brandon where ever ,who ever you are please pay your bills and stop giving out the wrong number.   I've blocked the number.

Called for an employee-told them this is the corporate office and they do not come here-she asked if I could give him a message, I told her no- I am not a personal secretary and hung up......... of course they still call back but that is what is wonderful about caller ID-I just pick and and hang up again :) makes me feel better

This is first time receiving this call.  Did not answer because I am sure it is some telemarketer.  I guess the new ones are just getting numbers and starting to agrevate people.  The Do Not Call List is useless - gonna block.

Everybody that is leaving a comment for this number just doesn't get it. The person calling you wants any and all your personal information. They will tag you and you loved ones and soak you for all you are worth.

They call our office every week asking for Vickie. There's no one by the name of Vicikie that works here, and before I'm able to ask to be taken off the call list they hang up.

Well, I don't have anything financed with them and they continuously call.
