Called my cell. Nobody on the line.

This is BB&T, a/k/a Branch Banking & Trust - I bank with them. The only time they have ever called me, is when I have requested information. Shd be safe/

Are you 100% certain? It had dropped the '&' at some time in the past, written logo may include '&'. Caller ID should spell it out,and not just B B T. If you're not 100%,is it advisable to vouch that it is ok?

Suggestion...call the bank yourself using the number on your bank card or a number from their official website.

Caller ID is showing unavailable.  Left no message.  If it is bb&t, shame on them, a professional should always leave a message.

Same thing happened to me!

Email saying my account had been blocked for security.  I don't have an account with BB&T. This is a scam.

Received 3 calls on my cell,  No message left.
Google search of the number says BB&T customer service, but I have no account.
I agree with Karen P.  If it was really BB&T, they would/should leave a message.
Probably a scammer.

Received text from this number which is not the BB&T number listed on their website. I don't have an account with them so it is a scam.

Call came in, caller I.d. Said they were BB&T.   I was asked if I were xxx, press 1.  If I was not xxx, press two.  If xxx is not available, press three.  I would not have thought too much of it, except the recording asking me to press 1, 2, or 3 was the voice of a middle-eastern male who could not pronounce my name.  Not even close.  Would BB&T hire a person like that?  I didn't think so.

Called me at 2:27 am saying it was BB&T press 1 if I was Louisa. SCAM

Received email from 888-228-6654 indicating my account had fraudulent attempt on my bank account. I called number and an option that wanted me to provide my SSN#. Scammers.

Received email saying there was farudulent activity on this account and left number to call. Number asked for SS number.

Got this number from what was I thought BBT website. But it was then a recording asking me if I was over 50. The first time I replied YES and it was a sales pitch from ???. 2nd time I replied NO and the call dropped. Pretty sure this is part of a fairly elaborate scam.

Press 1 if this… name they looking for and is available.
Press 2 if this… name not available.
Press 3 if this is not name looking for.
Press 4 to repeat this message.

In other words, phishing to see if this is a working number and to spoof another scam.
