I got the same voicemail as Julie above wrote. However, I did call back and kept saying Loan Counselor and finally got a women with a bit of an accent. I requested to speak to this Justin Novak person and she responded with " Do you have over 10K in student loan debt?" When I replied "No, and I didn't apply for any loan forgiveness program and I would like for you to stop calling me" she just disconnected the line from me.

Same robocalled automated message left. Those that received the message likely have a relative (child, grandchild, cousin, etc.) or another association to a person who recently missed enough Sallie Mae payment loans to have been sent to a collections agency. Expect calls for the next few years as the loans get passed down through the different collections agencies.

Stated they were returning a call about lower payments or forgiveness on my loan. Acted as if we had spoken beforehand. Scam

Def a scam, they are a blast to mess with back! They have screener questions you have to answer correctly before they pass you through to a live person. Then they are still screeners, one wrong and they hang up on you. I asked if they were based out of Philadelphia, Massachusetts, and got a resounding “YES!” Hmmmmm....They ask for all personal information, I gave gibberish and they accepted it and when asked for social, I asked “Why are you trying to take obviously desperate people’s money?” They, every time, say I’m having trouble hearing you? So I repeated it again, they go on a short rant and hang up. Same way every time lol

Exact same messages that were scripted above. Was fairly certain already that this was a scam but did call back just to confirm. Told the robot that answered "I don't know", when asked the amount of my loan. Interesting conversation for about eight minutes afterward with a lady who hardly spoke english, would not/could not confirm department name, how they got my "application", & even better, she panicked before I ever even told her that I don't believe they're legitimate & she started trying to reassure me that, "we not who you think we are, we not scam, legit, legit, so tell me your information. We know you have a loan but need to confirm amount & how much you make". Hilarious from there. This is definitely a scam. Refused to actually give information, demanded to speak with the "loan counselor who has all your information already" (then why ask, huh?) - call placed on perpetual hold. 😂 Good stuff.

Don't call unless you want to play with them if you're bored. Lol

This went straight to Voicemail and left no record of me even receiving a call in my Call Log. Exactly the same message. It came from a local number to me (Florida) but gave 888-231-1249 as a callback.

Received the same scripted call from someone named Justin Noah about a student loan forgiveness.  I have no student laws and no way I'm calling these crooks.  Phone also came from 5392159851

I was asked to call this number back about student loans. I don't have any. The number that actually showed up on my phone was 1-484-275-9086. The voicemail started part way through, and I suspect is a recording.

I was at work when I received a voicemal, not even a missed call, telling me they were trying to help me with student loan forgiveness. I'm still in school and haven't even begun thinking about loan forgiveness programs. Everything that needs to be said has been said. Avoid them and don't call their number.
