SCAM!  Your name is cutoff in the message so you don't know what it's about.  I have to admire their cleverness.  They talk about calling them back even if you don't want to continue with the process so they can close their file.  What process?  There is no process  They just want you to call them back so they can starting scamming you.

Received a call from 423-818-0878 and "Adrian" left a message about my inquiry for student loan forgiveness and to call him back at 888-231-7089 by the close of the business day or they’d have to cancel my application because they have not been able to reach me. When I called the "888" number, machine answered and identified as "Central Loan Center for Student Loan Forgiveness".  After I got through the voice prompts a "customer service representative" came on and started asking me personal information questions. I told her I need to know the name of the company before I answered any questions and she immediately disconnected my call.

Spoke very quickly and offered help with student loan forgiveness and/or loan refinancing. Called from a 920 area code, vm said 925 area code, and the number to call back was the 888 231 7089. Said he needed to close out my records if I was not interested and he would wait until 6pm Pacific Time.

Same -  scam. Interestingly just happen to fade out when mentioning the name of the company or themselves. Call back number was crystal clear. Kept saying there was an application that was not complete. Obviously a scam to call back

I don't quite understand what he was saying on message.  It was so fast and quick but he'd never mentioned my name so I forward this message to a spam inbox.

Received a call from 714-820-4970 that went straight to voice mail. A man named Dave from *unintelligble company name* calling about student loan forgiveness, call back by 6pm or your case will be closed, etc. same message most people got. Scam for sure.

    Does it matter if it's a robo-call? It's a scam either way.

Spoofed a number I had recently called - the familiar number showed up in my caller ID, but the call-back number he left was the 888 number.  Otherwise, exactly the same as everyone else.

Interesting - my voicemail ALSO cut off the beginning of the recording, like some of the other posters stated and he said something like I haven't been returning his calls and I need to call him before end of day to speak to a 'counselor' about my 'application' - but I never heard the name of the company, the name of the caller or what this was even about. BLOCKED. Also, the number came from 812-748-3486 but he listed the 888 number to call back.

Received a voice message, but the recording started a few seconds into the man's message. Like he started talking before the beep, but that was part of the scam.  The recording didn't include The company's name or his name wasn't started. Just a call back number. The man said I had until 6PM you call back to finish the process or make a note on the account and stop calling - It sounded like a message a debt collector might leave.

The caller ID showed the incoming number was 989-564-5165.

Left a voice mail.  he did not know my name but said they had to "close it out" by 6:00 p.m. tonight if they don't hear back from me.  I googled the number and it said something about student loans.  I haven't had a student loan in almost 50 years.  SCAM SCAM SCAM

Person called about student loan forgiveness program. Mentioned how their calls never reached and how they're going to close the application at the end of the day. The number was from California @ 737 236 5222 - I'm still a student but I never applied for student loan forgiveness. They also called at 10 AM but for some reason I didn't hear my phone ring or anything.

They actually transferred me within their organization. I question them who they are, and they kept saying that they are department of education. They are Americans - whoever they are on the phone. The guy on the phone claims his name to be Quan. I didn't give them my social security, they got my birthday, and I hung up on them.

    • Caller: Didn’t leave any info about that
