called, left no message

They have been calling repeatedly in the last 2 days. Never leave a message which means that I get a voice message with the operator telling them to hang up and try to call again. That is followed by the annoying busy signal from the phone company. When I called the number back I am told that operator number 5 is taking another call and to leave a message. I left the appropriate response although I doubt they were bother to listen to it.

Odd call from this number.  Answering machine picked it up.   Couldn't understand all of it but did  keep saying something about fat boy and maya maya  and used the  "N" word.

They call every day an hang up

Calls 2 to 3 times a day, but leaves no messages.  I will not answer, because I believe it is somekind of scam if they can't leave a message, I don't need to talk to them.

They call me every single day claiming to be from Discover Magazine and that I have been given the wrong rate and they want to correct it, despite the fact that I have a receipt showing I'm paying the proper amount.  They try to give me a "senior citizen rate" or a "preferred customer rate" and then if I talk to them long enough one of them will imply that I agreed to pay them money even though I know I did no such thing.
I keep telling them to stop calling me, that I'm too smart to fall for their scams and they should use their time harassing someone else, but they won't stop.

The caller claimed to be from Time Magazine.  The story is that in renewing the subscription my wife checked the new subscriber ( that is , the wrong) box.  And they are calling to get things right.  The man wants to pass the call to his manager who will take the information (i.e., credit card)  to get the "senior" rate.  The claim made by caller is counterfactual.  No renewal was sent in.  This is a criminal enterprise.

called did not answer, but 5 minutes later the called 941-529-0021-wanted us to renew our subscription with National Geographic.  My husband told them "no" .  Then wanted our Credit Card number....  Then this number 888-279-8121 just called two more times after this 941 number.

Just called me 3 more times.  Did not answer on the first, answered and hung up on the 2nd  and the 3rd time, I told them to quit calling here.  They asked for my husband.  I told them he is not here.  Then they ask if I was his wife.  I told him yes and take my number off your list.  He said if that is what you want.  I said yes....These are scammers trying to scam old people.
