- Dave D replies to SandyPlace is a dump on Bronx Ave in Skokie, just off Dempster. Caveat Emptor!
- Mary replies to JamesYes , this is a scam.
- Pete| 1 replyYes, scam.
Never do business with a company that calls itself "S. Service - Coverage Information"
That name was chosen to mask their true identity, and make you think the letter came from whatever brand car you bought.
They make you believe that your factory warranty on your brand new car/truck has not been activated.
They add a deadline to make you hasten your decision, and not check.
They actually sell you an extended warranty. And will close their business next year, well before your extended warranty goes in effect. You will be without that extended warranty. All legit. You lost money.
As said above, buy extended warranty (if at all) from car manufacturer.- Caller: S. Service - Coverage Information

- Rachel| 5 repliesI received about 10 of these within a week. What a waste of resources. Not sure if this is a scam, but I purchased extended warranty when I purchased my vichele. Just call the number on the letter and asked to be unsubscribed. The guy I talked to was super nice- it was like a 2 minute call. :)

- Actually.. replies to Rachel| 4 replies..other posters have complained before about calling to have their names removed from the call list - guess what? It doesn't happen. I wouldn't hold your breath if I were you...
- Jeffery replies to Actually..I also called them and had them remove me. Whoever I talked to was very polite and I haven’t received one from “s.services” again but I do get bombarded with letters and phone calls from all these other private companies almost daily. How annoying! And what a waste of paper!! This company seemed ok, no high pressure sales tactics like most of the letters I called but I still wouldn’t trust any of them.
- Linda replies to LSI got one from them too! At least that one has a company name and address! I have 3 other letters in front of me with no name telling me my brand new car is out of factory warranty! How shifty! I called s services - coverage information and the conversation went different than I thought it would. It was short and nobody tried selling me anything. Supposedly they took me off the list but this other one I called afterwards told me they were going to send me to collections if I don’t give them money! What a joke!!!
- Seymor replies to Actually..| 2 repliesIt seems they come from all different companys . I receive this latter in my mail and they take it off for me and I don’t get any more from them. But the other coming from different companys. What happens I buy from dealership so I do not need this one but the price they give is same price dealer give so I just keep mine from dealer.
- Scammers replies to Seymor| 1 replyI would believe the FCC over some scammy cold caller: https://www.fcc.gov/consumers/guides/beware-auto-warranty-scams

- Another receipientGot letters from multiple different companies about warranties for cars I have NEVER owned, and for a new one I did just purchase. And Yes, pressure was on that could only offer this today, need to buy or decline by end of day. For the S. Services - 800-475-0935 - got their letter. Called to compare to other letter & offers. Interesting how they all berate the other companies. So, I called our Service Advisor from Ford. He said that most are scams and don't cover issues.
HOT TIP! If you do the drive sharing - Uber or Lyft, I was told by the inspector that if you take your vehicle in for any warranty work, and have the stickers on your car, that the warranty would not cover ANYTHING! Because you are considered a commercial vehicle. So - be warned - warranties may be null and void before you ever claimed anything and would still have to pay for the so called service warranty you thought would cover you.- Caller: S. Services
- Hero replies to SandyI don’t know if they’re legit or not, but I’m leaning toward they are illegitimate. I payed for what they were selling, without actually doing research on who they were. It didn’t sit right with me when I couldn’t find them on google maps. Also I spoke with them on the phone, and they couldn’t tell me where they were based. I demanded a refund and they refunded me my money back the same day.
