SOMEONE CALLS ME FROM 212-200-5050 ABOUT IF I HAVE RECEIVED A LEGAL NOTICE ABOUT A COMPLAINT AGAINST ME AND IF IF I AM NOT AT HOME THEY COME TO 'SERVE' WILL HAVE TO LEGAL ACTION. THEN THEY GIVE YOU A CASE NUMBER AND THIS NUMBER 888-281-1916. IT TAKES FOREVER FOR THEM TO ANSWER THEN THEY FOUND MY NAME AND THE CALL WAS DROPPED.

I got the call from 212-200-5051 (united processing services).  They called at least 4 times in the last 4 hours with the same details.  They told me that there is legal action against me and that I had to call. That they wanted to serve with papers and that I needed to be home from 12 PM to 6 PM tomorrow.  They told me to call 888-281-1916.  I called the number and it is a SCAM.  A very bad scam.

Same as above but I did not call the 888 #. I'm glad to know it's just a scam.

Received a call from 212-200-5050 indicating I had legal action pending against me and wanted me to call 888-281-1916. That did not impress me as how legal processes are served so I never called the 888 number.

Same as above. Claiming that T-Mobile has a claim against me for breach of contract from 2005 thru 2012. Quickly dispelled their claim considering I'm with T-Mobile now then they hung up. Yes it is a scam and they have tried before. This is ridiculous and annoying.

Received a call from 212-208-5051 claiming I had legal action pending against me and requested that I call 888-281-1916 within 3 hours to prevent further legal action. When I called, I was placed on hold for over 10 minutes. I called back after looking up information on this supposed JP and Associates company. I was hung up on 4 times and the 5th time I didn't give the lady a chance to speak and told her they would be reported to the BBB!

I received the same call not once but several.

The first time I spoke to this people, I realized that they are scam.
they call people and almost force you to verify your info such you SS# and all that stuff to supposedly get access to your case and if you don't do it then they threat you with the phrase legal actions against you.

I simply told them to do whatever the heck they want and hung up.
Now, today 04/23/15 they called again asking if there's anyone available to receive the legal documents sent to me and I said yes they right away gave me the same phone # again 1 888 281 1916 to call them and give the info and I told them again to send the damn package whenever they want and this time they hung up.

ITS ALL A SCAM!!!

Got a call from Los Angeles 310-531-5144  from Fidelty Express saying the same thing and gave me this number. I called and they said we have the wrong person.

I have been called for days now, from a North Carolina, I finally answered the phone. Same as above, I called the number & they were claiming I was being sued by TMobile for a bill from 2005. I told them it's a time barred debt & to file the legal documents.

I received a call from the same people (1-888-281-1916) claiming civil litigation involving a past account with Century link. The alleged debt was during the years I had phone/Internet service with another service provider. I called local law enforcement  who confirmed that it was a scam. don't bother calling them back and asking for their legal credentials, because they don't exist.

If they call again, let them know the call is being recorded and you intend to have them prosecuted for attempted extortion and wire fraud. See how fast they hang up.

Got a call from 252-252-2232 saying they wanted to speak to my wife.. I ask about what and they said they had legal action against her for a Med-bill not true !!! So I ask for thew case # they gave me one. amd i ask for the # to they lawyer they gave me this 888-281-1916 i'm going to call it and call the A G of North Carolina

This just happened to my husband calling for me too, same number n everything. so I called them and like all the rest they try and force u to give ur SSN# to verify so I don't then they hang up on me. Big scam some Supposedly JP and Associates

I just got a call from my son who said he received a call and was told he had a $1000 debt from 2002 from Verizon for a number that I supposedly opened in his name. They asked him to verify his SSN and other information. He said the thing that made him suspect that something was not right was that the number they told him this debt was attached to had an area code he knew was not right. I told him his father and I never had a phone in his name, ever, and that we have not had number since 2005 (at least). Not only that but I have been a Verizon customer for over 35 years, both wired and wireless.

The caller had his SSN, and my name and information. They instructed him to tell me to call 888-281-1916 as I would be named in this "legal action".  He has now put Fraud Alerts out to all of the Credit Reporting Agencies. This is obviously a horrible scam! If you have given or verified any of their information please place fraud alerts immediately to your credit reporting companies and watch your accounts very very carefully.

My Dad just got this call. Thank you all for posting.  As my dad doesn't know any better he would've gave them his information. I googled the number and found this site and learned its all a scam!
