I was threatened with a past due bill from Sprint (which has never been my carrier).  I was told I would be served legal documentation and would have to appear in court.  The past due bill was supposedly from 2005, which is way past the statute of limitations for any collection debt.  I called the company back asking how I could find their credentials and the 'gentleman' hung up on me.  Scary part is they had my address and social security number.

Just had a call from a good friend of mine. He was told that his name was on some contact list of mine and that he was contacted by these people and my full legal name was given along with the same message you guys and I have received. The most upsetting part is that I have never given out this person's name or phone number. The number that called my friend  was 214-200-4444.FOR MY FRIEND TO BE CONTACTED IS THE ANOMALY THAT UPSETS ME MOST.

A family member was called by a # 214-200-4444 claiming they were serving me litigation papers and also my sister.  They left this toll free # to call back with a "claim #".  When I contacted the number it said it was Atlantic Processing... when given claim # they requested me to verify my social security # and I refused until they tell me what it was pertaining to.  They said they couldn't give me any info without me verifying my SS#.  I said no, they're a scam and I will be reporting them.
