I've been getting these same calls from "Michael Slavdore" and two cases against me. They call asking for a relative. When I ask them for their location and name of company, they will either yell profanities or simply hang up. When I ask them to validate their claims through a letter, they say that they are not required to. They actually told me to brush up on my laws haha. I guess the caller was unaware of the Fair Debt Collection Act. These people will not take my number off of their list. I've recorded my calls to them and have reported them to the FCC. Please do your part for all of us and report them!

I see advice given about where to file a complaint. Here is the correct/best place for complaints:

You can file it online. They will ask you for some personal information like your name, your email, phone number, and address but this is a legitimate government agency to make your complaints, so your information will be safe and they will contact you.

FYI, if you guys need advice on a good smartphone app to record your calls, I use ACR. It records every call made and received, so I have to open the app and delete calls periodically, but to me it is well worth it...

Exact same message as everyone else, except the call is for someone who is known to me but with whom I have as little to do with as possible. I'm sure the person the call is intended for has a number of bad debts, but I don't know why my phone number would be used. I never answer unknown calls anyway; it just irritates me that I get these calls.

I got the same scam call today. I identified myself as a lawyer.. They hung up.

I got same kind of call on my cell phone but said the message was for my daughter who lives 900 miles away.

Got the same call from Michael Salvador from Asset Management on Monday on my wife's cell phone claiming that our daughter has two pending collection matters and that he needs to speak with her immediately.  We Googled the number and came across all the comments below.  Obviously, this was definitely a scam.

We got the same call: "asset valuation department of legal process.. we have two pending claims attached with your name and social.. imperative that you contact our office immediately"

I just received a call from 888-288-5346 how these people get your number is sickening. Stated it is imperative that I call them back they have 2 pending claims. Every 6 months a thief comes along.
