- W.T.You people calling from 888-299-3484, why don't you leave a voice-mail so people will know who you are so that they can call you back. Sounds very fishy to me when a "legit" company doesn't even have a courtesy to leave a voice mail. What kind of business is this?
- Caller: 888-299-3484
- fedupThese people call my cell phone, let it ring twice then hang up before I even answer the phone. Of course, they never leave a message and my caller id can't show the city and state; If they think I'm going to call them back they are as dumb as a pile of horse poop! What I really hate is they wake me from a sound sleep and I work midnight shift!
- CocoaConnieThese people are scumbags...don't deal with them.
- Caller: MRS.
- robosnoopI've received several calls from this number. They never leave a message.
- Tony| 1 replyI agree with Gunnar, however you still need to and should speak to them. what if its an error and the error is on your credit report? I remember getting a call from this number and it just happened that the person they were looking for had the same name and last name as me and they just assumed it was me and it was also reported on my credit report. I called them. sent them proof of address and it was removed and they never called again. If this is fraud, you can also report them to the Better Business Bureau and the BBB will contact them and it will also be taken care off. You just need to be careful not to give out any personal information like your date of birth or social security numbers. Remember also that phone numbers when cancelled are given to other people so you can be getting calls on their behave. Better to just speak with them and clear out the air.
- Just the facts ma'am replies to TonyYes & no. Speak to them? Maybe later. First GET a copy of your credit report. See what's on it & who has recently pulled it. If there is an error you can easily fix it. The big 3 have free forms on their web sites to download, fill out & send to them. I would give NO personal information out to an unknown caller until I did my due diligence. Please also remember to NEVER pay anyone who says they can 'fix' your credit. You will just be poorer.
- Tim| 1 replyI received a call from them as well and did not pick up. Blocked and banned from calling me again.
- Chapter13 replies to AnonOne note about Collection Agencies that offer to settle for a lesser amount. The offer is usually for the amount of bad debt that THEY bought. Don't be surprised if you get another call or notice from another collection agency for the same original debt. Also if you have filed a Chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcy, the only thing you have to give them is the case number and calls should stop. Now as far as these scumbags, it is hard to tell just who they are because I do not answer 800 series numbers for any reason, and they don't leave messages.
- RegularGuy replies to AnonAnd you need to be sure that when you pay it off, the credit bureaus are given that information. I made the mistake of paying off a debt once, expecting it would improve my score. Nope, because the collection agency got their money, then thumbed their nose at notifying the reporting agencies.
- Gesmart replies to TimI no longer pick these calls up either. I have copies of my credit report and there is nothing on it. When I did pick, they are calling for a relative of mine. I told them I am not her and they need to stop calling. They claim they will take my number off the file but I still get these calls. What do you do when you are being harrassed about someone else's debt?
- phil mneed to stop calling me. don't know what they want. calls 3 to 4 times a day. I am tired of this annoying calls
- Zombie Debt replies to AnonAll you did was pay off a "zombie debt". MRS purchases old debt from companies that can no longer report it to your credit report because its older than 7 years. All you had to do was request a validation of debt, documentation they are the first to collect this debt (which they are not) followed by a cease and desist letter. They would have gone away, can't contact you any longer and that would have been the end.
This company is notorious for purchasing old debt for pennies on the dollar. The original creditor has already written the loss off via charge off, so MRS is literally making 100% profit. Keep that in mind if this company ever pops back up. - Richard TrickleI was visiting my parents and this number called my cell and my parents house phone within seconds of each other. Ring twice and hang up. No voicemail. No debts owed. Number blocked.
- Caller: MRS?
- Hangupsreceived a call with this number on my cell phone. They have called numerous times before months apart. They were clearly informed they were to no longer call my cell phone, work, or contact me again via a cease and desist notification. Scam companies DON'T obey the laws. Therefor this MRS Collections are criminal scam collections. They have continued attempting to collect on zombie debt. SCAM!

- jada99Calls, leaves no message. If this IS a collector then you should due your due diligence and investigate anything they tell you before making payment arrangements with them. It could very well be a scam.
My bank *just* sent me a free credit report earlier this week and, of course, I have no debts in collection. I already KNEW that though since I am not an irresponsible [***], and I always pay my bills on time. - TheHolyHandGrenadeWe received a call from them today and as has been reported here over and over, they left no message.
Scam collections. Blocked them. - ME replies to AnonDoesn't work that way... Even if you DON'T owe - they assume you're a deadbeat and harass you. JUST DON'T ANSWER and they GO AWAY !!!!!
- Wicked TiredHad 4 calls from this number 4 weeks in a row. Never leaves a message. Came here and seen the reports. Thank you. I'll keep ignoring the calls.
