- Lisa| 1 replyA guy from this company, Mr, Mumble-mumble, left a message on my phone 3/11/09 for my father, who I haven't lived with for YEARS. He said to call 1-888-300-0449 x6851 and reference file# 80075502, and made it sound urgent, but was in no way clear as to what the call was really about. It sounded totally suspicious, so I "googled" the number and found this website. Creepy.
- Caller: sounded like "DCD", but it was not clear
- No Thanks replies to Lisanot sure why everyone no here is saying its a suspicious company, its a debt collecter, if you owe money to a company, they sell your debt to a debt collecter and know you owe them the money. its called UBC, give them a call and straigten out our debt. or just tell them you dont have any money, or assets or income, and they will maybe leave you alone. or just change your number.
I just called them, and spoke to a lady and she marked me down as refusal to pay, and that is that. - lamet
- annon.I got a voice mail message from someone who said they were calling me because I was listed as a relative of someone I do not know. I returned the call and gave the case # that was in the voice mail. There was no record of my name or number in the case file. I was instructed that if I got any other such calls to return the call and have them be sure my name and number were removed from the file. The operator with whom I spoke was very polite and apologized for the trouble.

- AnnaI got a message for a Catherine (last name garbled) to call Miss Sinclair back immediately on a "very important issue" and was given 888-300-0449, ext. 86713 and told to use reference #8036771. I don't know anyone by that name. I called to let them know that they needed to try a different # for whoever this person was. The first time I called the person I spoke with said that the reference # did not exist; I told her that the person asked for was not at this residence and she started asking for my personal information. I asked what business UCB was and she hung up on me. I called back and got Miss Sinclair, and made her listen to her own message. She agreed to remove my number from their database.

- clockneckLike the other posts above we were bothered with a similar story. I returned the call to officially state that I consider their repeated calls to be harassment and that if they EVER called my number and bothered my family again for something that has nothing to do with us, I would file a formal complaint under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Their disadvantage is that they didn't know that I know what I know.
I don't expect another call...- Caller: UCB
- Ha!I got a call from "Mr. Smith" today. He was trying to reach my ex-husband with whom I haven't had any contact at all for over 15 years. I don't know how they got my number since 1) it's unpublished and 2) I've been married, widowed and remarried in that time, changing my last name twice since I last spoke with him. The funny part is that my ex-husband owns an insurance agency which can be found just by Googleing his name. "Mr. Smith" said he would take my number off of their list. We'll see if that happens.

- JPY"Shon" x6888 called my sister's house and left a message for my brother-in-law telling him to tell me to get in touch with him immediately. We can't figure out how they even made the connection; I've never used their address (another state) or phone, except as emergency contacts and even then, it was my sister's name. NOTE: My brother-in-law called the guy and read him the riot act.

My grandma barely knows these people and now she is getting collections calls for them. We are more than happy to give them all of the info we know about these people. They still wont stop calling her. This is making her blood pressure go up. These people are really rude and annoying.
