Jerks call every day, sometimes multiple times a day!!!! They don't respond to requests to be removed from list everyday that they have called for last year. Calling this number back yields busy signal every time.

A representative claiming to work for this company has been calling and finally sent over a one page proposal with contained a hand written note reflecting the savings.  During a follow up call, the representative got extremely defensive when asked several questions surrounding the information provided.  For one, the comparative savings did not take into account the taxes and as a result, the rep. claimed in writing these were additional savings.  This was misleading and the rep was defensive when asked more questions.  This comes across as lack of transparency which resulted in a waste of time and resources.

They called me last year and so far I have saved over $1200 on my phone bill. When I had a problem with one phone line they were there to help. They kept their work. God bless them.

I continue to get multiple weekly calls, despite having asked to be removed from the number's call list. I'm also on the national "do not call list," which has helped to decrease the overall number of unwanted calls, but hasn't stopped this one.  Today I called the number back 4 times. Each time I connected with the same person, who would not tell me why I was being called. She simply started playing loud, unpleasant music over the phone.
Is there any way to stop these pests? I've only answered the call one time, and that was to ask to be removed from their call list, but I still have to run to the phone to check the caller id each time they call.

Repeated calls from these creeps.  CallerID only listed "800 service".  Based on feedback others have given this number, about not honoring do-not-call-again requests, we just let them go to voicemail but they never leave a message.  No surprise there.

Our number has been on the federal Do Not Call list for years, so these folks are clearly breaking the rules.

I faxed them a bill from my cable company and they did a comparison. I decided to switch to Verizon and my service has been much better and I am saving about 20% over what the cable company charged. This turned out to be a good deal.

I love how the Verizon people are trying to leave good messages.  People only go to sites like this when they are not happy!

Got this call too, asked for the owner.

I got calls from this number repeatedly. I switched to a voice over IP service (VOIP) and now block their number. Service is reliable, cheeper than verizon and offers many features to stop unwanted calls. I found Viatalk to be the best when it comes to features, but there are many reputable companies offering VOIP services.

They call my business several times a day.  Fortunately I have Caller ID and am prepared for them.  They say they are "calling on behalf of Verizon" or "about your Verizon account" and ask to speak to the person responsible for "your Verizon account".  I don't even transfer them anymore; I just hang up.  I called this number back yesterday and spoke to the receptionist.  She answered the phone saying "Thank you for calling Americom (sp?)".  I asked to be put on their Do Not Call list and she took my info.  I'll give it a few days to see if they actually do stop.  Right now when they call, I just answer the phone and say, "Stop calling this #!" and hang up.  They are a real pain in the butt.

I was also recieving calls from these people, when they asked for the Verizon customer, I would say just a minute, set the phone down next to a radio and let them sit 'on hold'. One guy sat there for 1/2 hour before hanging up....lol

    Haven't rec'd a call in a couple days now

This is obvious BS - you can't even spell Honolulu and you claim to be there?  I know how to spell the name of the cities I live/work in.

Nice attempt to fill this board with praise about your own company by posing as a satisfied customer.

I also get calls from this number on my business line, although no one is ever on the line when I answer.

I called the number back and got the same "Americom" name.  Told the receptionist I wanted to know why I was getting daily hangup calls from this number and I got a "hold please".  I listened to music for a while and then the original receptionist came back on the line and asked who I was holding for.  As I started to rant, and got about five words out, I got another "hold please" and more music, so I hung up.

I called back and asked the name of the company (it was somewhat inaudible on both calls) and was told Americom.  When I asked where they were located, she responded "Florida".  When I said that Florida was a big state and asked for the city they were located in, I suddenly got "hold please" and music.

At least you are "told" to hold.  The minute I begin to speak, the "worst receptionist in the world" just puts me on hold.  She doesn't say a word.  When I call back, she gets nasty with me saying, "If other calls come in, you have to hold!"  She must really hate her job.  But trust me, I'm making her job EXTREMELY miserable this morning :o)
