These people DO talk to you like you are stupid. Same scenario as "Rose". I keep asking them, "Did you see in front of you on your screen what I told the person who called two days ago? I have the same thing I said to them to say to you". They just don't get it.....

It is fifth third bank and they called me yesterday and the guy was so rude. told him I did not want to talk to him anymore because of his attitude and asked to speak to his supervisor. He told me that the supervisor only dealt with matters involving the accounts. I informed him that he called me about my account and got rude and hateful with me so therefore it was the supervisors problem to deal with. he told me he was denying me permission to speak with a supervisor. Told him again that I wanted to speak to a supervisor and he again said no so I hung up on him and called the number back and explained what happened to the girl that answered the phone and she directed me to customer service and told me that guy really was a "[***]".

I've been unemployed for 3-4 weeks, I finally have a job. When that 866 number from a call center in India called I answered and told them what was going on. First they make you play twenty questions... like I'm going to change my name every month or something. The lady said that I could call another number to set up different payment arrangements. I called the number and after getting off hold for 45 minutes and going through 7 transfers (no joke) to get to the correct department, it took the woman 2 seconds to tell me that I needed to be with them for nine months before they could do anything, then hung up. Now this number keeps showing up. Once I get done with all this crap with my car payments, I'm never going through this company again.

They keep calling but don't leave messages...and I'm at work when they call and I can't answer. I made the final payment on my auto loan last month (Jan 2012), so I don't know why they are calling...especially if it's a debt collector. After reading these comments, I don't want to answer their calls.

    Not David Ryan
Continuous calls from 5th Third Bank looking for David Ryan.

Wrong number, [***]. How many times do you need to be told this?

Next time you give out a loan, try calling the recipient at the number they give before you make the loan.

The system is broken. Break up the banks and make them hold their loans for 5 years!!!

They've called my work phone several times...sometimes leaving a message for me, sometimes not. I don't have a loan through them, never have...only an HSA account that has plenty of money and no charges against it.
Not sure why they are calling me.

I talked to a real jerk also. Not afraid to say his name was Josh. He harassed me on the phone, and even said "I suggest that you borrow money from a family member or a cash advance company to pay us". Really Josh??? Talked to me like a piece of garbage.I advised him that I was going to hang up on him if he continued to talk to me like that. He didn't listen, so I hung up. Harassing me didn't change anything,I still made the payment when I told him I was going to. Bunch of JERKS!!!!!!

5/3rd bank isn't doing themselves any favors using this call service, and I would suggest they change the verification process. I was asked to verify my identity before they would even tell me what they were calling for, wanted my date of birth (said what I told them was not in their system) so they wanted my address...sounded like a scam to me, so I refused to give any more info till they told me what it was about. They still refused and gave me this number to call. Plus I believe they have been calling for days, because I have been getting a bunch of calls from different out-of-state numbers, but they never leave a message. I don't usually answer the phone unless I know who it is, and if they don't leave a message I assume it was some tella-marketer or something. The only reason I answered today is because I'm working from home with 2 sick kids. I bought a truck about a month ago and was told 5/3rd was the bank but never received anything from them to tell me who I would need to make a payment to, account number, coupon book, nothing. When I called this number they were going to charge me a late fee for missing my payment untill I asked about it, and only then did they offer to wave it. I'm not too happy with the customer service of 5/3rd at this point and given this is age where you can refinance an auto loan through someone else pretty easily, I would think they would be a little more aware of how their customers are being treated. I will say the woman I talked to when I called (Audrey I think) the number was helpful and pleasant, but first impressions tend to be what people think of you. 10+ years ago I banked with 5/3rd but left them because they were behind the times on no fee checking accounts, maybe they are just still behind the times.

They have been harrassing me too and they don't care that you haven't been working due to COVID. I am behind and I have been trying my best to get caught up on my loan. I have tired working with them, but I get nothing in return. I had one guy tell me that I should ask friends and family for the money. Ummm I don't have any family to ask and my friends are just as broke as me right now. I got very pissed off about that.
