Been getting calls on my 11 yr olds prepaid cell phone.
Leaves no messages?
Who is it and why an 11 yr olds phone prepaid phone??????

888-393-7158 is PayPal ... Debt collection service.  Ignore them.  Harassment!

888-393-7158...have now called me 3 times in the past 20 minutes! I always simply open my cell phone and wait for them to hang up. No talking, no nothing on the other end. On here it says Paypal debt collection...well, I have no debt with Paypal, but did sign up for an account about 9 months ago...

Receive calls at a rate of at least 1 a day. I do not owe anyone any money. Registered for paypal but never used it

With the frequent compromise of both eBay's and PayPal's servers/sites I suggest you folks with open accts speak to them when they call.  My dormant PayPal acct was hacked and they were quick to remedy the problem - once I spoke to them.

I have been receiving these calls on a daily basis for the past 2 weeks.  I do not answer, and they leave no message.

Spammers. Ignore. The call does not make sense. They rambled about the reported statements from above, but wanted my info to verify against what they had. IGNORE the call, SPAMMERS or Phishers.

This number has been calling me 4-5 times a day but says nothing and never leaves a message.The only idea i have that it might be a paypal? scammer is looking it up here.I ended up just blocking them.

I might suggest if you have a Paypal account that you call them, to a known legitmate number, and find out if your account is in tact. Report the call you received just to make sure that your account has not been hacked and that a scammer may be spoofing their number and impersonating their collections department.

Everyone is saying its paypal but it's not. They call me 10 times a day. I use to let it go to voice mail.. now I answer it and no one is on the other end. It is dead air for 5 seconds and then they hang up. The calls won't stop!!

This is NOT Paypal. It is a scammer who found a list of everyone who has Paypal loans. He calls one person after another after another until he finds someone naive who will send him money. The money does NOT go to Paypal.

DO NOT SPEAK TO THEM.  Nobody reputable will initiate transactions by phone.  Not the IRS, not reputable collection companies, not  your bank, not "lisa from your credit card company".  In my case, all transactions with Paypal are handled via email.  The IRS will send you a registered letter if they have a problem with you;  they will talk to you if you phone them first, but if it's serious they will ask you to visit them.  As for ostensible bill collectors who threaten:  how can they send the police or the sheriff if they don't know where to mail a letter?
