Received a call from Stacy Gray, on behalf of the "Processing Center of ***** County, AZ letting me know allegations are being filed against me, & they "will go forward with a non-compliance order" if they do not speak with me today.  Callback # the same as above. Looked up the # & found it is the Caller Company out of North Carolina.  All my old debts have now passed the statute of limitations in my state, so this is probably a bottom-feeder agency trying to scare me into paying something that was written off long ago.

A web search brought up this web page under a different name with the same address:
    http://www.montgomeryhunterassociates.com/Contact-Us.html
    http://www.montgomeryhunterassociates.com/
    BBB page with a F rating and 18 complaints:  http://www.bbb.org/charlotte/business-reviews ... lotte-nc-378532
No BBB page on the second name.
Bizapedia has no listings under either name, North Carolina Department of State has no listings, which means these companies are not legally allowed to conduct business anywhere.  In addition the whois listing is registered through a privacy service.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

They are a legal business and i owe the debt and i think is so ungodly to not not pay your debts. We  borrowed the money in 2013 and couldn't pay at the time why not pay it.When they give you the opportunity to  fix .Something  irresponsibility  and hardships create.  Some people are career debtors and low lives unlike myself. I want to  pay what i owe they sent me to letter of documentation to my email and my home they where very nice and professional to me. Why write bad checks when we know it is against the law.  It was a debt that i knew that i owed and i very well paid period. It didnt matter what they said to me i know what i did and i should have never let it get to this point where someone has to threaten me to take care of my responsibilities

I call complete BS on your fairy tale!  All validation of debt is required to be sent through the mail, not email. But what's more important is you seriously need to get a better grasp of the English language before you attempt to shill.

You're a Liar & a Shill. You can feel free to prove me wrong though. Simply give us the legal name & physical address of this outfit. You must have that info. You're here to preach to us about your morality & you can tell us that this is a "legal business". So give us some verifiable information about this outfit. You say you got that letter. Give us the return address that was on it.
You won't be back with a verifiable thing & we all know why.
    Skeff Ett Liv!

They continue to call me and my mother-in-law... I have asked they stop.  They will not.  They make all sorts of bogus claims and wanted me to overnight a payment to a PO Box.... That was a red flag considering you do not overnight to a PO Box.

Next time they call, DEMAND (not too nicely) a WRITTEN document of this ""debt"" that is MAILED (post office) to you.  Expect excuses and possibly illegal threats but no letter (They have 5 days to comply to your request).

Please check BigA's posting from over a year ago several posts above yours for more information.
