888-397-6841

I received a call from this number today, 888-397-6841, stating that they are from Google, and that there is an "urgent issue" with my business listing, and that I should call them back immediately. The actual number on my phone caller ID is 1-302-407-6475. The person sounded very professional. But, I am suspicious, and am not calling them back.

In recent days, I've gotten several messages to call the same number. I called them back and asked if they were Google, and the guy hung up on me. When I called back, I got a message that "the number you dialed cannot be reached from your calling area," which leads me to believe they blocked my number. Problem solved? Hopefully!

I received a call today from this number.  My called ID said it was from 959-300-2437.  I have not called them back and, after reading the above comments, have decided not to!

Received a call from Business Health Center stating I am having difficulties with a
Google business. I don't have a business and the caller number was different from the 888 number. I am suspicious of the caller for the above reasons and my suspicions are more solidified after reading the comments above.

I received a call...obviously a scam...said there is an urgent issue with our Google Business listing...call came from 818-200-0992 and the message said call 888-347-6841

SAME as all above. Sounded very professional. Very legit. Caller ID number was 609-312-0364 (Barnegat NJ) but the VM said to call 888-397-6841 in regards to an urgent matter with my google ads account

Received a call from 350-200-4982. Claiming an urgent issue with my Google Business listing. The call back number to resolve was 888-397-6841. Obviously a scam.

Call came in from a california number: 951-388-1646 but said to call back about my google business listing to 888-397-6841. We have dealt one on one with google before- there call center is in India- the accent will reflect that. They also will email your business to tell you they tried to reach you but have an actual case number if there is an issue.

Rec'd a call from 619 413 1549 which went to VM. VM said there is an urgent issue with my Google Business Listing and to call 888 397 6841 immediately and if I think I received the call in error to STILL call the 888 number and to hit #9 to be removed. NO thank you. I do not have a Google Business Listing. Definitely not calling the number and have blocked the number initially called from.

Received a call like all the other people have mentioned.  About my Google listing.  Google never calls

Received an urgent call like everyone else about my google business listing. I believe it's spam and I won't be calling them.

I haven't and will not call them back because it only encourages them. These are bade actors.  Nothing to be gained by calling them.

8/21/24 11:17AM Rec'd call from Ghosted # 626-200-2852 - Michael at the "Business Help Center" stating there is a problem with my Google Business Account which I don't have.  Requests I call him at 888-397-6841. These are calls to try to gather personal info.  Don't answer these.

A ghosted number? You mean that it is  Casper's number?

I got the same exact call today. The guy sounded very professional, but almost too much so, like the voice was AI maybe. I’m not calling back.

I just had the exact same thing happen, just like you described it. I didn’t call back either.

Same as everyone else, only the number on my caller I’d was 747-336-8462. Same 888 callback number however. Scam for sure.

It has to be "AI" because real live humans can't sound professional?

I read all of the above, and I've had the exact same call from 'Michael' also very professional. The number I got the call from, to add to all the ones above, is 747-336-8909 and wants me to call 888-397-6841. Interesting that this all seemed to start this month! They can't possibly have an urgent issue with a business that doesn't exist.

I received a call yesterday 3256006017 claiming there is an urgent issue with my Google business listing and I have to call back 8883976841. Is this a scam?
