- Kat replies to FMCYOU'RE somebody. Why don't YOU do something? Block the number and don't answer calls from unknown numbers when at all possible.
- Joe Knecht replies to FMC| 2 repliesIt's not a "phishing" scam. More than likely a syskey scam. If you call back, the scammer will get you to agree to remote access to your computer. Then he will show you normal processes running and claim that you have a virus. He will then run Windows "syskey", which will lock up your computer, and then ask for $$$ to unlock it.
- Tygerkat replies to Joe KnechtI've heard of this scam but not the name for it.
