I can't say how grateful I am that I found this website... that call scared the crap out of me. I could barely understand what he was saying, but it was so clearly not a professional person, as the CRA doesn't use phrases like this guy did. I can see how people would be terrified enough to believe it, ugh. Will be blocking this number & reporting it.

Hi, i also got that call few minutes ago... typicall low life scum bags trying to scam people for money. Hope they get caught and pay for all the headaches they cause to people who fall in their trap.

i got a call too and get ratted due to fraud crime.Geez he wants me to pay 1500 bucks. but I told the caller that i dont have the amount of money in hand and take two week to produce it. I end up calling CRA and i owe them nothing.

Same for me, I called back, and I ask if there was anyone that was francophone.  The person told me that he could talk slower and that I understood me.. I told him that the problem is I want to understand what the wanted... and then the line was cut off..

I Received a Call From This Number 1 888-433-7884 Saying They Were With The C.R.A  and That I Have Committed Some Kind Of Tax Fraud

Wondering what my Government is doing, this number is still operative, we live in such an advance country and cant do anything about

Got the same message about 10 minutes ago. I knew it was a scam immediately from the tone this guy had not to mention he says his name is Brett Liner yet sounds like he's been in this country for a total of 10 minutes (work on the accent buddy and your delivery)....CRA never calls you over the phone for tax issues and would never hire someone who sounds like this guy. I guess this was he's weak attempt at sounding like a goon. I expect the next call will be to threaten me with broken legs...I had two colleagues listen to this so that we could all have a good laugh....

Got the call today. Felt in my gut it was a scam but was still rattled at the thought it may not be. I feel really bad for the people who get emotionally shaken enough to call back. This is so unfortunate yet a reality. Threats come in all kinds of ways. This website is pretty awesome though. Gave me peace of mind.

Got a call from these scam artists and will be calling them back occasionally to waste their time....

Got a call from Brett Liner this morning. I hate these people. I wish something could be done. So threatening. So rude. No one ever talks to me like that face to face....

Got a call at 9:30 a.m. brett liner from CRA threatening voice but he sounds like fluent in English.

The phoney CRA trying to intimidate me into paying money.....what a scam....can't even speak with a Canadian Accent.

Recieived a call from this # purporting to be from CRA on my cell this morning , 7second delay so I knew it was a scam

At least the caller said 'take care' at the end of the threatening message, LOL.

Got the same msg from CRA. The guy does not leave his name or gives the company name he is calling about.

Got this exact same message today at 6 am. They called on my cell and left the same nasty message,  Called back to see what it was as I was freaked out,  It was the same voice in and East Indian accent that left the message.  I asked who they were trying to call and what it was about and said I think they had the wrong number.  He hung up on me.  Was a call center.  I blocked the number.

Good thing you blocked it because by calling them back you verified yours is a "good" number and now you WILL be receiving more BS calls. Also by the way, *67 does not work on toll free numbers.

Just making sure that I'm not alone and that there is an awareness out there - They have also sent me emails.  I also got some calls that said they were from a bank.
