- Bill Koch| 1 replyI got this exact same charge for $19.99 on March 20 and just noticed it yesterday. I've already filed a dispute with Citi Cards, and I'll be keeping an eye on this thread for other developments.
- shaun replies to JJWTF! how does this happen... Thank you for this website! I checked this (googled) out before I called my bank and I'm glad I did. Getting a call back from the bank soon. Thank you
- Luis Antezana replies to Luis AntezanaAs replies are added the page numbers on which responses appear are changed. I had said in my above reply that my posts were on page two but they've already moved to page three and I'm sure they'll move again, in case people were wondering .
- Scammed in Ohio too!!! replies to Bill KochOn March 29, 2010, I noticed 2 charges on my bank account, from “HOSTING PAYMENT 888-479-5527”. One charge is for the amount of $1.00, and the other charge is for the amount of $19.99.
I called and had my card canceled and am in process of disputing these fraudulent charges! Today I discover that the $19.99 was taken from my account.
I called 888-479-5527 and it is an automated voice that says if you dispute a transaction to press 1, to talk to speak to someone in customer service press 2, to leave a voicemail press 3.
Pressing 1 it says if you don’t know of charge on your card to enter the last 6 digits of credit or debit card. At this point I hung up and called again and selected 2. After a few minutes it transferred me to voicemail. I did not call the number again.
I am f%#*ing bent over this and hope we can all manage to hunt this person down and get our money back. What really gets me is that the bank sent MY money to these people yet they have no clue where MY money went? There has to be an account # of some sort that the bank/CC company sent it to. - Scammed in Ohio too!!!6:45 p.m. EST. Just filed a report about this crap with the FBI/IC3. In doing so I gave them a link to this website of other known or possible witnesses or victims to this crime.
It may have only been $19.99 I lost but that was my food money for next week, and come hell or high water someone WILL pay!!! - robb01Had the exact same experience, i had a charge of 14.99 for Hosting Payments, opened a dispute w/ Citi, and didn't bother calling the 888 number because of what I read on here.

Luis Antezana,
This scam IS being perpetrated by someone you know or knows you. Figure it out and get it taken care of if you want anyone to really believe you are not neck deep in this yourself. You are in the IT field? Coincidence this scam is IT based, or not? Coincidence you live in WA/Seattle area and that is where the website registers to, or not? - TonieI just received the same thing on my Bank Statement. I did call the # and did what they said with the last 6 digits. I also waited to talk to someone. It then went to leave a voice message. I then went on here and found it to be a fraud. I called my bank and the gentleman said he had two other calls regarding this just today. I cancelled the card immediately! Thanks for the heads up. Next time I am going here first.
- Mike| 1 replyI noticed this charge on my Gander MT. card today. Called customer service and they had no info on this charge. They told me to call this (hosting payment) number to inquire. I bit, and called, gave my last 6 digits, the system then confirmed the 24.99 charge on 3/23, then they said they credited 24.99 on 4/1 (they didn't). I googled this site, after reading, I immediatly cancelled my acct. Now I have to file a dispute.
Gander Mt. (world financial network) didn't really seem to concerned! - Jim Bronson replies to JJI agree. Never call the charging company and provide them any information at all on the transaction. Always dispute the charges with the card provider or cancel the card if you have a concern.
- MGD replies to Luis AntezanaLuis Antezana, you may be interested in the additional information uncovered which shows that this is part of a larger group of fraudulent websites set up exclusively to process stolen credit card data into cash. There are numerous websites all located on a nefarious bloc of IP addresses rented from Singlehop Inc., in Chicago. Like this one many of the domains appear to have bogus domain registrations.
See this thread: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r24081030-Cre ... amourhostingcom - Mike replies to MikeAs a follow up to the above, I checked my statement this morning and was credited 24.99 to my account from "hosting payment" phone number 888 213 8592. I still cancelled my account though.
I Googled this number, and looks like others have been scammed from this phone number also.
BEWARE ------ CHECK YOUR STATEMENTS CAREFULLY !!!! - CindeeI just found this $19.99 "Hosting Payment" charge on my bank statement too. I googled the phone number that was on the statement and stumbled upon this site. Thank goodness! I'm glad I didn't call the number! I called my bank and they are sending me an affidavit to fill out and dispute the charge. I wonder if I should cancel the card or since these jokers appear to be fishing... maybe I can just leave it alone.... I dunno. Seems like this problem shouldn't still be going on. Wish I knew who to tell to have this guy SHUT DOWN!!!
