I have received numerous calls from this bogus company and have had enough. I contacted my local State Attorney's Office and was informed that they are in fact not a legitimate company and that NO ONE can arrest you for an unpaid loan (even if you owe). They scam people into giving money that they do not owe. The problem with prosecuting them is that there is no paper trail or not an actual way to locate them. Some of them are people sitting in thier homes calling and as for Emily Thorn she does not exist either. The whole thing is a scam...DO NOT FALL FOR IT & DO NOT ANSWER YOUR PHONE!!! If they call you again tell them to go ahead and send thier server by some state's you do not have to accept even if they try and come...I guess its close to the holidays so they are in need of money for gifts....

Just received a message from Emily Thorne at 888-479-9480 saying she needed to serve me with a summons. I called the number back and they advised me of a payday loan debt from 2006 that I needed to pay $2640 today for or the police would be at my job to pick me up by 3pm today. I told them I would need to call them back. I checked my records and I received this exact same call from a different company about 4 months ago for the exact same payday loan that has already been paid. I am so glad I googled them and came across all of the comments I am seeing to know this is a scam.

This number called my place of work and threatened to send me the summons and take me to jail for an unpaid pay day loan from 2006 of $645! First of all I never qualified for a pay day of that amount, the most I received in the past is $300. Second of all all those debt have been paid off. Third of all they claim it's with a bank account that has been closed since 2005 but supposedly the debt is from 2006. Then when my friend called back and told them she was my attorney, they called her a [***] and hung up on her.

Total scam do not fall for it and report them to the attorney general's office!!

    An awesome mommy
I've been getting calls, but from a Blocked number. I get them about every two weeks. Asking for a so and so, she may be going by this name..... Then that they need to verify my address to make sure someone over the age 18 will be there to serve papers of summons to appear in court. Yes it scares me a little, but still... It's like someone calling and saying, " is so and so going to be at this address tomorrow between 5-8pm so we can arrest them?" um... no you guys are crazy. I haven't received any papers in the mail with anything that has to do with court etc... But I'm starting to work with a company to help me repair my credit. I've also gone to lengths of checking to see if I had any warrants out in the last city I lived in and where I live now, to make sure I didn't have a warrant out. My gosh, this can be stressful. Yes I screwed up when I was young, yes I'm making steps to make things better, but geesh, I don't need to be threatened> This pregnant momma doesn't need this stress.

Got a Call from 888 479 9480 today at my work number.   They wanted to collect on a four year old debt that I have already paid for (TWICE).   I let them talk for a while and ticked with my pen everytime they violated a fair debt collection act law at 10,000 dollars a tick.  By the end of their little talk they violated 10.  So I imformed them that I would be suing them in court for the 10 laws they violated and the number of times they violated the law.   He got really upset and started to swear and cuss up a storm.  That is when I said very politely "Happy Holiday's and God Bless you and hung up.  Tomorrow I am bringing my air horn to blast into the phone.

they work in a smelly basement smoking crack and shooting up dope. Dont pay them you are just fueling a drug habit. I used to work for this company and I had to get HIGH just to yell and tell people they are going to jail. Not a good job when you only get paid a % on what you threaten and scare people.

if you want to pay junkies working in their basement in "BUFFALO NY" they all use names of attorneys so when you google it its can seem legit just google Riley and associated it comes up a lawyer they do this  with 3 lawyers names.

They also process the payments out of someone else merchant account because they are junkies and when you pay RILEY & Associates it clears your account a different name

They got a good thing going on but Id figure i tell all the little secrets and advise some people who will get screwed like me

I have received several calls from this number, so have my family and co-workers. If I answer the phone, and a live person, after answering their questions to verify myself. They will not answer none of my questions, like the account number, the address of their company or let me talk with a supervisor. They just call me a,”dirt bag" before hanging up the phone on me. They leave messages recordings for me at any and every extension throughout my place of business. I am willing to work with them but the process of elimination is frustrating and not to mention very tedious. I reported them to our Attorney General Office and Consumer Affairs. If there is anything else I can do, please advise. Thanks

they called a former indebted charge off cheking acct cutomer's # looking for one of her friends.  her checking acct charged off 2000 & paid out on a small less than 30.00 balance. she called them to let them know he no longer lived there.  the caller told this lady she was emily thorn, this former indebted customer told her the person they left the mesg for no longer lived there.  emily turned on the lady and stated she too was on a loan for online loan with this man that used to live with her and his ex wife.  same story 1700 or warrant for arrest and needs to know where to serve the warrant, home or work.  could not disclose what account the check was written for 1700 came from but that it was written to the institute i work for.  this customer went to a local branch and thatis how she contact my dept.  told her to fax a police report or go to jail for bad/wirthless check.

has similar situation w another customer, they left a "warrant" taped to his door while he was out of state for a few months,

ag's office told him SCAM SCAM SCAM

wonder if they are trying to recoop the rily & associates who defrauded the casino insurance?  or the riley & associate law firm .. they told these customers they were a collection agency hired to collect for the institute  work for..

WHAT DO ALL THESE VICTIMS HAVE IN COMMON?

where are the commonalities of the people these scammers are calling?

all have an old charged off chcking acct?  ever have a deceased person living at the address?  do these people work for a bank, colletion agency , credit reporting agency or chex system?  hmm.. they have your infor for a reason and i bet everyone has "some" common demonimator .. pool together and stop them!

    Fed up
Same idiots calling leaving me a recorded message. I called back, the person who answered refused to give me the company address and other info. Then he proceeded to say I was the one with an attitude when I told him he was a scam artist. He then hung up on me. I called back and told him once again to remove my number from their list. He said he was trying to help me not get served with a summons. I told him the only help he could give me was remove my number or I would report them to the authorities. He then proceeded to scream at me and tell me my psychiatrist must think there is no help for me either. WTH??? These folks are nuts. BTW, I have never had any kind of payday loan.
