This is a SCAM!! There is no such company known as Romex Travel (www.romextravel.com). This # is also associated with 888-404-1977 and 888-895-7118. They will continue to change their # until they get caught. If you give them your bank account # they will be using a company called ABCand123corp to deplete your account.

Interesting. We have used Romex for several years. You did not say, however, that you were a customer or that you have had any bad experience with them. You simply wish to say "Scam."

I wish it was simple as saying a company like Walmart or Exxon was a "Scam" and get people to believe it and stop using them because I hate them. However, it is great the world, in a way, does not work that way!

Funny, very funny. You say you used them for "several years" but suddenly decided to look up the number today on a site for finding info on unknown numbers.

You know, "happy customers" don't use sites like this to look up numbers they already know. Crooked shills like you do it frequently though and your bogus posts stand out like turds flung on a white wall.

Now it's back to the boiler room with you! Thanks for playing.

We own a marketing ad agency in Atlanta. Romex is our corporate travel agent. They have been booking our vacations for around 5 years. I was unaware that they booked anything other than corporate accounts. However, for us, they are always reliable and have given us great service.

We take seriously our reputation at Romex. We were told by our customers about your comments.

I am an employee and have been so for almost 8 years. WHEN someone, such as yourself, comes to our attention, we take it seriously. Interestingly, you fail to identify yourself as a customer, list a complaint, or give us any information  to respond to. IF you have any of this, please let us know and we will help you. IF NOT, please let us know WHY you wish to blast a company you know positively nothing about.

No, we do advertising compaigns for Romex. Guess what, it is our JOB to know what people are saying. Interestingly, it appears you have NO information to share, complaint to make or anything to legitimize your observations. So, I guess all INTELLIGENT individuals who read your comments will just have to take them with a grain of salt. This is a free country and we can all say whatever we want no matter whether we have any information to support a claim or NOT.

No... it really is a scam.  How could you be using this company for years?  they are a new company.  You obviously are part of the scam if you are posting on this website.  If you are a happy customer what are you doing looking up the number.  This company is a continued travel scam and you are likely the scammer.  The address is fake,  the travel is fake, and you steal peoples money.  If you are part of this scam call you bank immediately and cancel payment and claim fraud on your account.  The banks will prosecute these folks.

Huh... what kind of advertising?  Where and what is the name of your company?  How come the physical address for Romex is fake?  Surely you know this?  I personally called the building where this company claims to be there is no such company.  In fact the Investment firm that is located there was encouraged to file a police report.  I called the State of Georgia and they have no record of Romex, or a record of the company at the posted address on their website. I/We are very curious what kind of advertising company you are and really where are you advertising.  Are you the ones faxing all this crap around?  If so you are part of this scam and should be prosecuted as well.  You know you're guilty... can't wait for you to say someone is going to sue us for Liable or Slander.  There is none that because you are a SCAMmer.  Just search online travel scams and this is the classic scam tv stations have been uncovering for years.
Victims should call their banks or credit card companies immediately to cancel payments.  I'm sure payments don't even go to Romex... just some other scam company.  Come on people turn these people into the authorities.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I believe they are supposed to put an opt-out request on these junk faxes, and the one I just got has none. I will be filing a report with FCC.

    junkfax.org replies to Tiare Penrose
The junk fax is illegal with or without a "removal" number. Even if a "removal" number is included, it is almost always fake and is just another way to confirm that you have a live fax line and recieved the fax, so it has the opposite effect of removing you, you will actually get more illegal faxes.

Anybody claiming that a "company" that uses an ILLEGAL marketing technique like junk faxes is in any way legitimate is incredibly stupid or one of the crooks themselves -- or both.

This is such an old scam, it's really amazing that they can find new vicitms. Scammers win by never underestimating the gullibility of their victims.

    Hello Robert,

You say that we "fail to identify yourself as a customer, list a complaint, or give us any information to respond to", let me set that streight.  We are not customers because we recognize this as a scam.  Our complaints are several: Why are you sending these when we don't want them (it was sent to my office PHONE line, not fax)?  Why is there not an opt-out number?  Why, when we call to have our number removed, you put us on hold and never pick up again?  Finally, and most important, if YOU take your reputation at Romex so seriously, then why isn't the name of your company on the faxes?

Taken directly from the FCC at http://www.fcc.gov/guides/fax-advertising:
    - It is illegal to send a fax to anyone without prior approval.
    - It is illegal to send a fax without the senders name and fax number on the top of the fax.
    - It is illegal to send a fax without an opt-out option written clearly on the fax.

This is very clearly a fraud, and everyone shoud report them using the online report from found on the FCC website.  Any comments "Mike" or "Robert"?
