I also received the same phone message from same phone number.  I reported it to the FTC.  If you see this message, please report the 88-503-2917 message to the FTC under FTC scam complaint category.

"This is officer Charlie Williams from Windows security headquarters. We are receiving  genuine errors and warning messages from your computer for the last 2 weeks. So before we permanently block and delete your IEP address , we need to know if this was done intentionally by you. If not so call 888-503-2917.  This is your final message.  If you do not return the call legal action will be taken against you."

Same deal as everyone who has reported. it irks me that there is no action taken against these thieves. I would think the actual message was laughable if there weren't  actual gullible people who would be scared enough to comply with these absurd things. BTW, I also have no Windows products. I really hate these horrible humans.

we are being threatened by a caller of the number 888-503-2917.It is, according to this recording, about our computer. But, it is clearly a threaten message.

Same as everyone else,provided with a case number,and somehow got past all of my security call blockers...Honestly sounds like teenage kids voice in monotone recording,very creepy and slightly disturbing with the threatening terminology used, makes you question for a second if you did something wrong you didn't know you did. Thank goodness I knew better,and had this to turn to before returning the call,which I won't do now.

Left message saying if I didn’t call back with it address there would be legal action. Said they were the police Didn’t call back

Same scam message here ----  love that some people are wasting their time.  Said if I didn't call them to fix my computer that has been notifying them of problems, I would loose my computer for five years!!!  Dummies called our office a 5pm on Saturday -  DUH

I received three calls from this number same thing garbled message regarding IP address, I did answer the third call and told them not to call again.

Oh yippee, it's "buy our anti-virus software or we'll sue". How can I resist an offer like that?

Found this idiotic message on my answering machine. I always answer my phone and call back but waste their time. In the almost ten years I've been receiving these calls, I've never provided ANY information the caller didn't already have. This has become an amusement to many of us.

Stated that I needed to call back a Charlie Williams at 1-888-503-2917 immediately or there would be legal action taken against me, and from what I could hear it had something to do with my IP address on my computer. Scam for sure
