- Misty| 3 repliesThis is from a new service my insurance company offers . They give information on different facilities in my area that offers the same services for cheaper and Cigna has personally evaluated the other places they offered , They offer the services to handle appointment making ect ......

- John replies to MistyYes, cheaper run with cheaper inferior equipment that looks (and does) break down at any moment along with rude and incompetent people (had to take the CAT scan over again at another place) working their along with buildings that should be demolished (was closed down 3 months later).
- JulieThis number is spamming the crap out of my cellphone. They call 3 or 4 times a day. This morning they started at 5:36 am. I'm working on blocking them from calling my phone but just know, they are a boiler room somewhere, never leave a message and clearly aren't in my timezone (PST). Ugh.

- Kathy replies to MistyThank you! I was actually waiting for this call but figured it was just another 'Robocall' so didn't answer.
It isn't necessarily that they're trying to get you to accept cheaper procedures to save money, the place you've chosen might just be a lot more expensive. Some surgical procedures require very specific tests that the doctors admitting hospital tailors just for her/him, and the insurance company just doesn't get it. - Pamela| 2 repliesThey never left a message so I too thought this was a scam call and kept ignoring it. However, I finally answered and it was CIGNA's "Informed Choice" (IC) service. Hubby is getting a CTscan, but the facility that the doctor recommended is apparently more expensive than other facilities in the metro-plex area. The service explained that they aren't trying to get us to go some place "cheaper" but is a service provided as part of my insurance plant that helps to offer a place "less expensive"; AND, it's OUR CHOICE as to what we want to do. Hubby chose to stay with Baylor and CIGNA-IC said 'Okay'... no arguing or trying to convince us further. Well, Hubby has changed his mind (just like a man - haha). I called the "IC" service back this morning and they are currently working to find another facility that will do his 'special' type of CTscan. They were glad to help. No problems. No hassles. Very nice and accommodating.
So... since they aren't a scam, they're probably just trying to get hold of you for 'Provider related reasons' - and so many calls so close together because it's relating to a test or procedure that will take place 'soon'. Or they should take you off their list if you tell them they have the wrong number...- Caller: CIGNA Informed Choice Services

- Cindibee| 2 repliesIt's your health insurance company saving you money on an upcoming appointment you are suppose to make. Answer the phone people! Thankfully they called and scheduled me somewhere else for my MRI, or it would have cost me a whole lot more money out of pocket.

- SAMIt is Cigna, but it bugs the daylights out of me that they (i) robo-call and then ask me to hold for a few minutes; and (ii) ask me to provide personal information to verify my identity when THEY called ME!

- William KlapaskaHave tried for several days to return calls from messages I received from Informed Choice concerning a CT I'm having tomorrow morning, 3/7/16 @ 8:15am. Have been on hold for 1/2 hr now & am hanging up. I can't accept that they want a return call, but will not give us option to reach another dept if necessary. I'll have to address any claim issues that come up because of this action. Terribly unprofessional and frustrating for the patient who has enough to worry about with upcoming procedures.
- Caller: Informed Choice on behalf of Cigna.
- Kiki HallRude and shady Informed Choice employee calling on behalf of Cigna. They want me to take my daughter to a subpar facility for her MRI. I've already met my deductible so this would only be saving them money. Their CEO made $49 million last year and they want me to take my child to a second rate facility to save them a few bucks? No thanks.
- Caller: Informed Choice
- Linda replies to PamelaPlease do your research on this as I have. They are trying to save themselves money regardless of the quality of service you get. Good luck to your husband. I hope you will choose your original provider for the CTscan and not be manipulated into saving Cigna more money than it saves you. More important, I hope you will choose the most competent place to have such an important test done.
- Jim| 2 repliesRefused to give them my personal information. Called Cigna. They told me they have nothing to do with Informed Choice and to not respond to them. It's a scam.

- skippyThe automated number called me twice. I refused to give him my personal information (dob, address, phone number). I called Cigna, to verify Informed Choice with Cigna. CSR had no idea what I was reffering too. Someone out there is selling my personal health information.
- Guy replies to CindibeeThey should leave a message if they want people to call them back.

- DeeThis number has tried to call me a few times, but when I call back it tells me to put in my number & then says that's not on there file. The same number they called me on. I am waiting on veri. for an MRI.
- Caller: informed choice
- Masa replies to MistyThank you for letting me know. I have the same call from them and I am about to cancel my original appointment. I will ignore their offer.

- ABRobocalls - I answered and automated voice asked if I was AB. I said, “This is AB. “. Automated voice said, “Answer yes or no.”. I hung up. It also said it was about an upcoming appointment. I do have one so it was tempting to answer but decided against it.

- AJI too am having an MRI soon and have received 2 calls today from this number. They did leave a message, but I decided to look the number up because of 2 "fishy" things. 1) I've never had my insurance called me with a robo call in reference to a Dr. appointment (if there is an issue, a person would be calling me. 2) The voicemail said to make sure and call back from the same number. I felt like this was a phishing tactic when I saw that! There are 2 main reasons I am having my MRI where my Dr. made the appointment and I trust her judgement on these matters. I have also met my deductible for the year, so yes, it wouldn't be me saving the money. I assume this company persuades people to change to "other" testing locations and then receives a kickback by patient name and number!
