Automated survey about who we're voting for in the upcoming elections .. "If you're voting NPD, press 1" etc.. DO NOT HIT ANY BUTTONS.. just hang up. It's none of their freaking business who we are voting for.

Received a call last night and the call display said "Direct Leap" -  a company that does robocalls for various purposes.  http://www.directleap.com/  Most likely political campaigning in this case as there's an election in two weeks where I live.  The call I just received today displayed "Toll Free Serv" instead.  By the looks of the services described on their website, anyone with money and a purpose can become a regional phone pest.

A female computer voice (sounds like Christie Clark) asks questions for a political survey.
Question 1:  Is the government on the right track? 1 for yes, 2 for no.
Question 2:  Should the government be changed?  1 for yes, 2 for no.
Question 3:  Who would make the best premier?  Christie Clark, Adrian Dix, Jane Sterk or John Cummins?
This is a direct violation of the secret ballot.  This is the basis of our free democracy.  There should be no interference in the voting process.

Only a partial message on my answering machine.  "Thankyou.  For your second choice, for NDP please press 1, For Liberal please press 2, for Conservative . . . . . . . ."   I wonder which candidate my answering machine chose as the first choice !
