This is getting ridiculous. I'm being called all the time...more than half of my calls are from this...also they always call when I'm in school. No messages that I know of, but I picked up once, a voice recording came on, and when I hung up on it, my calls from advertisement agencies almost tripled. Any one know what to do about these?

This number has called my cell phone twice, it's a recording about mortgage but I have my number listed on the no call list so don't know how they got it.

The number is being bogusly projected to your caller ID. Filing a "DO NOT CALL" complaint is 100% pointless. As absolutely nothing can be done. This is a group of Terrorists. WARNING!! Do NOT answer the call!!!!

CONTACT THE POLICE IF IT CONTINUES & HAVE A TRACE ESTABLISHED ON YOUR LINE THROUGH THE PHONE COMPANY. The calls are coming in from out of the USA, so good luck anyhow. Not sure how to proceed myself.

I don't believe the information in the previous post is correct, and I can't help but wonder if this poster is attempting to discourage complaints to the FTC and FCC for some reason.

The transmitted caller ID (888 555 4321 and 888 555 4444) is bogus, but that does not mean filing a Do Not Call complaint is pointless. To file a complaint under Do Not Call you need to supply the date you got the call, and either the name OR telephone number of the company that called you. I've gotten dozens of these calls, and picked up several times. As reported by other posters, you're connected to a live telemarketer if you pick up and respond to the prompts. There is no indication that is a "phishing" operation. Also, I can say with certainty that not picking up will not prevent them from calling over and over again. I've seen no indication that the calls come internationally, and have my doubts that any law enforcement agency would put a trace on a line simply because someone asks.

I just learned that is illegal, and always has been, for a telemarketer to call a wireless phone.

Please, help us get these predators off the phone lines...complain to the FTC if you're on Do Not Call, and to the FCC if you're getting calls to your cell phone!

Like this will actually happen - how do they get our numbers, especially the cell numbers!

This number calls my cell phone many times.  I have many business calls to take care of on my phone and i don't need an interruption by these 888 numbers.  How are these people getting mine and others personal cell phone numbers? how can we prevent this?

Keep calling my home don't leave message call back and get some stupid recording.

It's 1:40 a.m. I was awoken at 1:04a.m. by my phone ringing from this the number.  I don't appreciate it and I will be sure to report this to authorities during business hours.  I will not answer the phone unless I know who it is calling my home during the middle of the week at 1:04a.m. in the morning. This is ridiculous. No name with this number on caller ID, just the number.  Also would not leave a message.

I got a call at 1:14am on 6/25/08 from 888-555-4321. I was sound asleep and concerned with a call so late, the call was an automated caller talking about my home mortgage. I don't even have a mortgage. I hung up and never got back to sleep. I plan to file a complaint against the company.

Received a call from this number at 3:05A.M. I just let phone ring. They didn't leave a message. I tried to call it back and it just does a beeping sound.

I received a call from 888-555-4321 at 1:14am. It was an automated call talking about my home mortgage. The funny thing is, I don't have a home mortgage. I want this reported and will sue if I get another call from them. My nights sleep was ruined as I could not get back to sleep, and the late call scared me.
