Unable to call this number back.

They call all the time and hang up on me when I answer.

It's Rock The Vote calling from 888-555-5555.

I think you are right! I recently signed up through Rock the Vote and then within a few days started receiving calls from 888-555-5555 two to three times per day!! Does anyone know how to get them to stop calling? When you answer they just hang up...

They call me CONSTANTLY and when I pick up it lasts 1 second and no one is there.

Call me at least 3 times a day for the last few days. Never leaves a message, and calls that I pick up last a second and I get hung up on.

They call me constantly!!!!!! They've also called with the same 888-555-7645, 7641 and 4321. They never leave a message and it's become a serious disruption in my day. I can receive others calls because I have to turn my phone off or put it on silent now!!! They should pay for this!!!!

I recieved a call from this number at 4am, and when I answered a man stated something in arabic and then I hung up. I called Verizon Wireless and they put a block on my phone.  I recieved this call and have not registered for Rock the Vote!!!

Call is from AT&T Tech support.  If you ever signed up for the service and canceled or let it lapse, you will receive calls from this number.  Not sure if they want to collect past due monthly payments or sign me up again for the service.

This could be from anyone since 555-5555 is a faked number.

If people have to fake a number, they should not be answered.

1-888-555-5555 this number can be used to fake a number by ANYONE.. Google it and you'll see!

Got this robocall about a weight loss survey. Hung up before they finished. I guess being on the DNC does not mean squat.

left a brief robo msg, something about a "free product trial offer - to push #1 to continue or push #9 to end" caller ID (out of area)....555-5555 is a fake # used in movies & tv shows only.

I got a call from 1-888-555-5555 and it was a pre-recorded message from my municipality to tell me that we cannot use the water until further notice.

Maybe it's a number reserved for official use?

I just got a call from this number. It was the City of Gatineau (where I live). They left an automated message saying there was work being done on the water system in my area therefore we had to boil our water before using it and until they call us back to say it was safe to drink.

the number is reaching me at 11:00pm - why????

I just received the call myself and I live in Pointe Claire Quebec, it's about not drinking the tap water until advised.

This number called my Videotron line at 12:20 AM! Woke me up. I live in West Island of Montreal. When I picked up - it hung up right away, I heard the 'click'. ARRRGH!
