Received this call at 2:30am scaring the hell out of me. It hung up as soon as I answered, but it DID leave a message saying that the Pointe Claire water is not potable. I'd rather get that call at 2:30am than drink contaminated water!

I received  the call at 12 :30 am .    I live in Lachine ,  and the message is about the water. It need to be boiled . i don't known what is happening but  i' m buying the bottle water to drink.

I also live in Gatineau and I know there is presently a do not drink the water advisory. Funny the city isn't using an official phone number.

Had a missed call from them today at 5:10 pm, was an automated call stating that they were closing the file in my name, and that if I wanted to know what was in the file, I could call 888-555-5555.  Sounds like a scam to me.

This is a debt collector scam. The real number is 18887729119. Please research the number before you call. These people are crazy. They told me I hhad a warrant on me for tresspassing, so when I called they sad I would be served by thhe county. I began to ask them questions they got pissed. I told theem my dad was the sheriff and I just spoke with him and they had no record of the papers. They started yelling and hung up.

My grandmother is keeps receiving calls at her house from this number.  Caller asking for employment verfication.  What can I do?

I did receive a call from this number!!! It's the city ( gatineau in my case ) .
I found out it's a generated call the contact list of clients ( all afected residents)
Turn out we have to boil water, this was confirmed on there web site...
Dont call back since it's a software calling you with a generated message!!
Check your city's website for more detail!!

The caller is NOT AT&T Tech Support.  They have no business calling me as I don't have any AT&T services, and received the call on my Verizon Wireless cell phone. (Not a ported number).

I received a call from 888-555-5555. I did not answer it but caller id showed it as Dan Anderson Construction. I am not an AT&T customer,  I also am on the do not call list. I never answer my phone unless I know who is calling me. It has to be spam, so I will block it along with many other nonsense #'s I receive calls from. Hope someone figures how to stop this cr×p.What good is the "Do not call list" we sign up for?

As the number is obviously spoofed you know it's a scammer calling. Scammers are crimimals. Criminals don't obey the law so of course they're going to ignore the DNC list.
The DNC list does a lot of good but it isn't a call blocker so it can't keep you from getting unwanted calls. You might want to try an actual call blocker.

Wanted to get my computer fixed. When I told the  (male ) fellow I don't have a computer, not to call again he hung-up. Consider this a. SCAM

"Horse manure" number.  Caller said "I'm calling about your computer".  I told him "bye bye baby" and hung up!  Blocked number!  You should, too.

No not answer this call! If u do pick up say nothing! It will act like a block and they stop calling!
