- 1got a voicemail from Subaru finance - Chase. Bought a new car few weeks ago. Thought it was fishy, so I called Chase banks customer service just to make sure the number is real. Chase rep say it's legit and I need to call that number to verify my info.
- PaulIt is a scam. Called me 1 week after purchase and automated response said I was late and owed them 137.00. I called Chase and they had my loan and my first payment isn't due for another 40 days. Gave them the number and they do not call from or have any record of that number in their system. I told the rep to notify their IT security group.
- BobDon't fall for it. They called me claiming they were from Chase auto loan department. I gave them nothing and called Chase. They said they would never call looking to confirm personal information

- HowardChase auto loan dept. We bought a new vehicle through a GM dealer, and apparently Chase is the lender. We didn't originally answer, but we called back and other than name and last 4 of SSN they supplied the rest of the information.
They were just calling to verify everything, and insure it was accurate. It appears to be fully legit.- Caller: chase finance
- Tom DasenbrockCaller claimed to be chase auto loan. I called back and answered a few questions about my new auto loan. It seemed odd. I directly called Chase Auto Loan. Chase Auto Loan said they had never heard of this number and had never had any questions about this loan. This number, according to Chase is NOT one of their numbers and has nothing to do with them. Check with Chase yourself if you don't believe me. Do not trust anyone who says this is valid. As I said, check with Chase themselves. I hope I didn't set myself up for identity theft.

- CindyI received a voicemail from "Mirina" claiming to be calling from Subaru Motors Finance "following up about my recent inquiry". She told me to call 888-556-3705 and included a reference number. When I called back I was asked for my name. Before giving any personal information I wanted to know why I was receiving this call - they said they couldn't give any information without me verifying who I was. They said I could look up who they were online (which is how I found this page) - I hung up. I looked up Subaru Motors Finance website and called their main number and spoke to someone who verified that my account was in good standing. They also said that according to their records, no one had contacted me (phone/email/letter) and that they keep a record of every contact point. They suggested I send an email to abuse@chase.com. I sent the voicemail recording and a screenshot of the phone call log to them.

- TonyAgent named Ricardo called in regard to a Subaru dealer cost increase. Sited some reference number that I couldn't relate to any number on my purchase documentation. Called dealer and told that all finance matters are handled through the dealership not Subaru. They never heard of a Ricardo or any cost increases. The whole thing sounded phony.
