How exactly is the dnc supposed to determine what calls are unsolicited to you...?

This is definitely capital one. I will admit that I am a little behind with my payments. I made payment arrangements but I receive 5-7 calls a day. I they said the calls will keep calling until it's paid which I personally feel is a little redundant but I just ignore it. I got tired of clearing out my voicemail on my phone every couple of hours so I downloaded a phone app that automatically hangs up on them

I get a call from here looking or my sis in law.....wtf??? I ask what the call is concerning and they just hang up....

Well, several posters in this thread have indicated they don't have a Capital Card.  So, why should they pay this bill if they don't have a debt with this company?

Your assumption is wrong.  I have had clients past due with me.  I don't call them all day or everyday.

I am so sorry to hear what your father has been going through because of these jerks! I know he shouldn't have to, but maybe it would be best if he changes his number so he can have some peace. I know these guys can be absolutely relentless. There is also laws that they have to follow and they are CLEARLY BREAKING THEM!!! I think that if more ppl report them when they are harassing (whether someone owes or not) them, than something will be done. Your father does have rights. I do hope that he does get some relief from this and has the chance to recover and heal. God Bless.

They never say who they are, just hang up, or ask for someone whose name I can't understand because they slur the name every time. I don't think this is a credit card company. It could be. It seems more like a scam to try and get long distance calling bills up or something. When I try to call them back, it says they are overseas and long distance charges will apply.

For weeks I've been getting crank calls from this number, they call and hang up. Call back immediately and hang up. Speak you [***] idiots and maybe ppl will pay their bills.

25 might be an exageration but I do get 10 calls/day I guess its considered a "loop-hole" to the fact that you are legally only allowed to call 3x/week in an effort to collect, by not leaving a message ever

I have been awakened three times today alone by these callers and they have called on average 4-5 times a day for the last week. there is no one on the line just a call and then a hang up. I got awakened before 7:30 a.m. after getting to sleep at around 5 a.m. - I deal with insomnia, and when no one answered right away after I ask who is this - I then growled - who the hell is this! and a youngish sounding female voice said back - you don't have to get all rude about it! anyway, will call back but it had better be toll- free! feeling very frustrated right now.

Like everyone else, I've been getting 4-5 calls a day from these people. I run a daycare in my home and the calls always seem to come at nap time!!!! Whenever I answer I have to say "hello" at least 4 times before I hear dead air as if someone is there but yet nobody speaks. I hang up but a couple of hours later I get yet another call. Taking care of kids I really don't have time for this, If your going to call here, answer me when I pick up the phone.

I already paid the bill, 1 week late, and they are calling constantly, silence on the other end. They are predators and need to be stopped. A simple reminder letter or voice mail would be fine, but these continuous robo calls are insane. What kind of business model is this? if capital one is a reputable company why do they resort to these sleazy tactics?

here's an idea. Get your head out of your [***] and you may be able to hear people's stories about why they can't pay.

the Dnc list is for tellephone marketers.
also you just need to call them back and tell them the issue that this is a new number.

They don't bother you until you are 2 months past payments and even then they are only asking for minimum payments. it isn't until 5 month that they will start calling you and try to help you pay off your debt.and obviously if they keep calling you and you don't have a card with them bloody call them back and calmy tell them. You think complaining on here is going to make them stop. You people are sad.

capital one will give you a small reminder after 1 month, this is an automated message and a friendly reminder. after two months you will be asked to make minimum payments. only after 5 months will you be called from this number. so obviously not a 1 week late. and be happy they remind you because VISA won't.

harassing phone calls from this phone number says International @ 7 am. every day or night late.
they didn't let me know what is regarding, they looking  for person and i  can't pronounce  the name
is not fer to bather wrong people. If you have phone number probably you have address, just send the letter with explanation not over the phone you make people stress out. And we are not victim after long
hours working and stress life to go true over some one alls, phone calls and harassing. Thank you
